"Unfortunately, we can only take baby steps by which to improve because the strict discipline which is needed to move forward, we have somehow come to equate with some foreign ideology. " What is the foreign ideology of which we speak here? Show some bravery like the Japanese and tell us.
No St Lucia, don't try imitating any of these so-called great countries because ALL of them are dealing with their own major problems; but because of their immense material wealth and power, they are able to fool the rest of us about how wonderful they are. In other words, all their greatness is based on their outer appearances and pretences. Just scratch a little below the surface and you will find them just as corrupt and tragic as the rest of this currently pathetic world.
The truth is that the WHOLE WORLD needs to abandon its vile ways, not just St Lucia. Maybe our problems stem from trying to live too much like the so-called advanced countries. In point of fact, isn't that idea and brainwashing precisely what's being shoved down our throats day in, day out?
#3 What have you been drinking? White rum or beer? We have high unemployment, we low class idiots as MPs and we have 2 or more out of every five people walking down the street living in poverty. Yet, jackass you want to suggest that all of this is OK?
How are we going to get rid of all this trashy living unless we become a more developed country? Why don't go drink some grammoxone instead?
Blogger #4. What you wrote is rather silly. I wrote nothing that you are ranting about. Go back to school to learn to read properly and then perhaps you'll be ready to write. You're just angry that I am too educated for you to deal with and would like to put me in my place, LOL! Try reading what I wrote again, then even you will see I wrote "St Lucia should try NOT to imitate the rich countries' LIFESTYLES." Obviously, you have never lived in any of these rich countries, otherwise you would have immediately understood what I wrote, i.e., that they are not as perfect as they might appear to be.
Everybody knows St Lucia needs better education and more jobs; however, in life, people as well as nations should always choose very carefully who or what they decide to imitate or follow.
Anyway, everyone knows you enjoy arguing against ANYTHING ANYONE SAYS! Unless it's from one of your 'ordained friends/cronies.' Instead, next time you blog, why not try offering some constructive ideas that would help raise the consciousness of the nation?
Above, you are so right. Your original blog makes perfect sense. In fact it is the truth and is logical.
What we see on TV from these so called "first world or developed countries" are just a farce, but deep within, there are more, much more problems and headaches associated with them. I lived in one for while and what we see projecting on TV is far, far from realities. We see the glamour and fast living, the fashion etc.
The person who responded to your enlightening blog with insult just goes to show the moral compass of some of us, mostly, those who cannot decipher logical from illogical. Sad.
