Where is these "good boys" mother? Or do they even have one?
News reporters always seem to have readers believe that these child criminals have no family, no mother ... who knows, maybe it is really so.
I truly feel sorry for these boys family, to cause them untold grief. You (the reader) might say, "what about the boy they killed? What about HIS family?"
It is sad all around - St Lucia has lost family values, pride, responsibility and accountability. Worse still, the sad event of children having children, child abuse and molestation.
Therefore, children afflicted of these elements have become desensitised to human life; becoming criminals with no regard for their actions. Jail is not the answer for them ... but to be "rehabilitated" (DISCIPLINE!! - ARMY STYLE!!) ...
Where? Unfortunately, St Lucia has not reached these kind of accommodations. Is there a plan in the works for child criminals? Something should be done NOW!!
This is part of a report about the murder of two toursts in Antigua three years ago and the subsequent trial when 2 Antiguan youth were found guilty.
""Martin, who goes by the street name 'Sample Dan', and his accomplice, known as 'Shaka', remained impassive in the dock. They had denied all three murders and will be sentenced in September, 2011. After the hearing, police restrained friends and family of the convicted men as a commotion erupted outside the courthouse. The Honeymoon Killings, as they became known to islanders, shocked the tiny nation of Antigua which had touted itself as a safe tropical holiday destination, despite a soaring murder rate. A total of 87 witnesses, including Scotland Yard detectives who assisted the murder inquiry, gave evidence for the prosecution in a trial than began on June 1. DNA, ballistics and evidence from mobile phone records was used to convict them.""
How long before St. Lucia's now wayward society produces such murders and hense imperils our tourism industry.
How long before we realize as they are in the UK and the US that the reason for the increase of such delinquent, vicious young men is not poverty , drugs or gangs but THE ABSENCE OF THE FATHER IN THE HOME.
While our liberal academics continue to tout our "unique family arrangements" the fact is that delinquency, the early sexual habits of our young women, their early pregnancies are all related to children being born outside of a nuturing family made up of a married man and woman.
The research for African American and African Caribbean families is all the same. As our black families are destroyed by liberal policies so our youth are falling to the bottom of the barrel. An examination will show that almost 100% of the prisoners at Bordelais come from single female family arrangements. Bt of course if you say this in our corrupt liberal environment you as the messnger are wrong and we continue along our merry way.
educate thee people there are 2 many uneducate people living in saint lucia they speak english and they they cantread andwrite lacking of education is a big problem

Anon #3 displays exactly what he/she is complaining about... lack of education. Rampant bad spelling and grammar.
St Lucians now DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH!! ... they have adopted an English patois which is disgusting and shameful.
