You hit the nail on the head!!!
If you are not liberated, how can you feel liberated?
I agree wholeheartedly with this article, it's likethe more things change the more they stay the same
What a divisive article and missed opportunity. What are you trying to imply? That there are systematic rapes at hotels in the North of the St Lucia? Which ones? Sandals? Le Sport?
If you know of such crimes being committed you should approach the RSLPF rather than imply and suggest in this newspaper.
Emancipation Day should be an opportunity to celebrate the progress which St Lucia has made since freedom from slavery and independence in 1979. It is also an occasion to look at the road ahead, and to require entrepreneurship from the St Lucian people, and resources for education from the government.
It reads like a horror story in this day and age. Are there laws making it illegal for people to be sexually harrassed at work. Sadly these things will happen unless woman are empowered and stop believing that a man is a must and thinking of sex all the time is the way to go. Willy Lynch did a lot of damage all those years ago, people must start being true to themselves.
I am at a loss. This article makes slavery looks attractive. No need to look for a job or food and shelter.
Some of us were better off during slavery than during this existing rat race.

WE WILL NEVER TRY TO REVOLUTIONIZE OUR MINDS FROM THE SLAVE MENTALITY?
SLAVERY IS NO EVIL TO US.
GIVE US BAR-CAR-NAL EVERYDAY AND THIS IS ALL THE EMANCIPATION WE KNOW.
WE HAVE BEEN SITTING,SCRATCHING AND SMELLING OUR BACKSIDES FOR TO LONG,AND BLAMING OTHERS,FOR OUR SHACKLES.
WE CAN,T BLAME THE HOTEL MANAGERS
WE ALSO ARE EXPLOITING OUR FELLOW MEN.
