Why not a pen? Pencil can be easily erased.

Why not the "middle finger" to the rampant corruption, greed and criminal activities that permeate Lucian politics.

The middle finger is the symbol of the people. We shall raise it, gently up high to all twisted, greedy politician.

It must be pointed out though that the symbols do not belong to the parties they are given to. Under the law the symbols belong to the Electoral Commission and prior to every election the parties must apply for use of the symbols.

==================

You hear crap! Sure this is OSSIE MO's idea.

One election you get the middle finger as your symbol and next you get the whole hand. St. Lucian officials do they get picked from the nut house?

These people are real jokers! They vote for jackass candidates and get jackass government. They now get a jackass commission making jackass statements. St. Lucia they say is idiot country. This proves it.

Now just what is the electoral commission doing owning a symbol? Why does a party need to reapply for a symbol that it has been previously asigned if it intends to contest the election again. Archaic i tell you. I am happy to see the movements though. The commission is listening and i look forward to the day when political hopefuls can decide on their own symbols.

The changes in the assignment of symbol was done by statutory instrument so i am not sure if it is correct to say that "The decision to remove the distinction between symbols given to political parties and independent candidates was solely that of the Commission."

The criticism leveled at the UWP administration must stop given the reality that the government leaders are bereft of competence, leadership, integrity and skills to do a better job. The aforementioned descriptions of the current administration is not a destructive criticism but a reality that St. Lucians must understand.

The reality that exists in that camp is one that we must understand is a reality that we brought upon ourselves. Please St. Lucians stop criticizing the UWP and simply vote them out.
