That eh going to bring a single vote for any of the parties. It's a complete waste of time as no government in St Lucia does keep to any policy.

I know things are rough but why waste your time bringing in St Lucian politicians to tell you what you already know.

This is just a show. I for one eh going to vote based on what the Chamber thinks.

Ofcourse we should not allow the business class to dictate where we vote - we have seen where the choice of that class led us in the last election, all because of their preoccupation with a retired leader who somehow they thought would bring the old days when their interests were the only ones that counted.

This time around however it is definitely in their interest to make a choice that is more in sync with the ordinary Saint Lucian working class and middle class man and woman - if only because the corruption and ineptness of this regime has rendered it against the interest of any class, social stratum or group in the country but that government's cronies.

Yes, there are a few who still have a vested interest in maintaining this regime in office for reasons such as having sons in government who will influence decisions in their direction, or because they assured of public relations business, but by and large I think the interests and the well-being of the majority of discerning citizens have converged.

These frauds must not return to government!

I wonder what can PM King tell the business community in terms of his plans for a brighter, more prosperous St. Lucia.
Demand for goods and services are at an all time low due to high unemployment and depleting purchasing power.
We no longer induce foreign direct investment that can create more business activity for the current crop through developed linkages.
I'm sure a question on good governance will be posed to him and i'm even more interested in hearing the response.
By the way I attended the last forum by the Opposition Leader and I saw a bunch of UWP Strategist like Agnes from Accela writing every plan that Kenny has proposed. Interesting, isn't it?

Chester Hinkson and Brian Louisy are top-notch Flambeau supporters and maybe even financiers of the party. You can bet your last dollar that they are secretly very ashamed of their non-graduate Accidental Prime Minister, Stephenson King, and will play their part to hopefully avoid any serious questions on matters of fiscal or economic policy taking root at this farcical forum. Of course Rick can't help King there, and Ausbert has of course abandoned poor "Kong." Maybe Victor Marquis can try to soften the ambience for the hopeless, unqualified, inept, incompetent, buffoon Prime Minister (also the Minister of Finance), with a "Cabbages and Kings and Walrus" story. What a big farce this is, JESUS, Stephenson King addressing the Chamber of Commerce?????? John Compton must be turning in his grave. Donna Baptiste.

Why must he turn in his grave, dummmy?

All during his time as leader of UWP, the man never

(1) never attempted to improve the quality of the candidates that made up the party and threw out anyone who was equal or had more intelligence than he had.

(2) never attempted to put a succession plan in place and at the end of his days had only dummies who could not do the job. Why did he go out to find Lewis instead of promoting dumb King?

(3) never had a better or a single idea of creating a higher standard of living in St. Lucia, unless it was by what he knew best, which is growing bananas.

Therefore, when the industry went bust, he was still selling so many stupid Looshans an industry that was long past its usefulness in developing St. Lucia. St. Lucians still believed that shyster as a godsend.

When he came to realize that he was empty with no bright ideas, he quickly dumped his failures into to Vaughan Lewis's lap.

Very idle, the man then wanted his toys back. He embarrassed Vaughan Lewis and took back his party and all the mindless toys and dummies that came with it.

To get back into power this time, he consciously brought in a known drug baron into his party.

He knew that that person was in the police force using the police uniform as a cover to run that business. He brought that curse on St. Lucia!

Turning in his grave you say? How unethical and immoral that shameless foreigner Vencie was! May he rot in hell!

Lets be real and stop living in Denial, Can king deliver, I don't trust him in the affairs of st lucia to bring leadership much less to have him mEeting with all the Foxes around the caribbean and the International world, So what Message are we Sending to the regions of the caribbean as to what kind of people st lucians are.
Very Embarrasing.
Consider that St lucia had two nobel Laureats 1. Economics and Literature
What Message do you and i will Send as st Lucians. I do not want to countinue bee the laughing stock, So Therefore I lokk forward to do what is right, Not just for today but for the future of our young people.

Anonymous at 10.21 AM I stand humbled and corrected. By the way I noticed your concluding reference to Compie having been a "Vencie" and I could not help but ponder upon the coincidence that King Kong the DUMMY is also a foreigners. It seems that St. Lucia was cursed by Columbus. DONNA BAPTISTE.

That's a show of dual incompetence.
A nothing show, talk shop of the status quo.

Rather they have had ample time to move St.Lucia to a progressive economy than present.

They all need to disappear- by breaking the monopoly's in the business system, truly open up trade and commerce.

Folks look at the name of this article: "Political Leader of the UWP to Address Second Chamber Election Forum." Even Victor Marquis, the Voice Editor and a strong and eternal friend and supporter of the UWP, is ASHAMED to say "Prime Minister Stephenson King to Address Second Chamber Election Forum." Speaks VOLUMES right? DONNA BAPTISTE.
