From personal interaction with Indira, she is always a pleasant woman that has an air of respect and humility. God bless her.

this lady has no class dishing her business and her emplyees'S in an article that should be about her entrepreneurial skills and the businesses she's trying to grow.Lady when i visit this next summer i have your restaurants saved on my blackberry as the establishments that I will not visit.

wow! why would this woman come out and expose the ery staff that work for her in an article like this? could she not conduct some seminars on customer service to her staff instead. I think this was of poor taste.

she's speaking of poor customers service from her staff, what about her manager etiquette and code of conduct.what happens in the establishment should be mentioned in such details, she could have easily speak on customers service on a whole on the island but now she's only making her employees more irate than they already are.lady earn yourself some class before promoting your business in this light.

i believe her heart and head is in the right direction. She is not belittling her staff just pointing out to them that customer service is the key element to continued service by patrons repeated visits to her restaurant establishments.. i do understand how some staff esp in these restaurant environments feel i have worked for one temporary basis and the salary is the biggest upset. Some staff are demoralized by the poor salaries offered them but in this climate of recession perhaps management owners can t afford to pay better.. but salary is the biggest huddle and one other thing i realise esp with our st lucian business owners and managers they hardly ever ever commend their staff when esp they seem to be doing a great job and at times going beyond their job descriptions.. so thats food for thought for both parties at restaurants..

"Thinktank" truthfully I was reading this article in hopes to read about what this lady has achieve and to get an insight on how other females can look up to her and say hmm maybe that can be me but she comes across as being arrogant.Instead all I heard was how unappreciative her workers were. Not taking from her that customer service is important in sustaining your business but a little more thinking would remimd her not to use her employees and her restaurants as examples because that alone will drive future guess like me away.

I get her point that customer service is important but she could have used a different medium other than her staff to get it across. Just imagine the kind of customer service she will now get after her staff reads this. She would have defeated her whole purpose. It was in poor taste, I think she must have been frustrated, got a chance to speak her mind and got a bit carried away. I hope she reflects on this and never make the same error. What she spoke of is her "home business" and should have kept it there, and deal the issue with her staff internally.

this woman married a white man who had a successful business for years, the man dies she just does not know how to deal with her staff in the proper manner. look the thing speaks for itself. she has shown the world at large how she handle issues. by going on newspaper to talk about her staff. lady put some money out a pay to train your staff on customer service this is how you will survive. and i hope you are paying them $400 a month & expect them to be happy

LMFAO!This lady actually went on a newspaper for gossip?Wow I hope this isn't the new standard for disgruntled employers because as bad as her employees are she should have used her discretion and not speak of them personally.FOOD FOR THOUGHT: real"STRONG WOMEN" don't air out dirty laundry ,they wash them first.

I think that the writer should have taken charge of this interview and dictated the pace and the slant. What was Ramia Thomas trying to get out of the story? Was it the hard work of the restauranteur or her problems with staff. THis lady is actually building a case for the unions. Dont be surprised if NWU dont go knocking on her door after this one.

"Strength of a Woman"? where is that part of the story?.And to those who blasted away at this lady, did you or the 'writer' know that certain parts of an interview could be off the record? And as for the guy/gal with the blackberry,we don't need to know that you have one. Don't take yourself so seriously. The inventor of the I-Phone,Steve Jobs, is dead. Steve was only 56 years old.

It is evident that this lady is not well educated in terms of business management and as such cannot comment objectively on good entrepreneurship. She just inherited all that and cannot manage. Therefore she balmes her staff.

I have to say that whenever I went to Charthouse etc while Nick was running the businesses, I had a great time, the service and the food were good. I've noticed of late that the standard has dropped and the staff seem less jolly than they used to be. These are people that I've known working there before I was a teenager, and I'm over 30 now. Sorry to hear that they are not being appreciated and treated well.
