PHEW!!
EXTRAORDINARILY BAD WRITING FOR A PROFESSIONAL JOURNALIST.
GET SOME TRAINING PLEASE!
YOU OWE THIS TO YOUR READERS AND TO THE DIGNITY OF ST LUCIA'S IMAGE!
After these past years of St Lucia's image being lowered throughout the Caribbean and the world, it's going to take a concerted effort from ALL of us to lift it up again; a new government cannot do everything.
Let's begin this NOW not TOMORROW!

if Kenny thinks he has all the answers -he better think again.

If Kenny thinks that bringing Regis back will solve crime-then he better think again.

If Kenny thinks that by stuffing the government with labour boys and supporters things will be ok- he better think again.

We are tired Kenny. Really tired of the same old approach.

Lord please put a hand for fair Helen.

I guess King has all the answers.

Dr.Anthony for sure knows he does not have all the answers.

I know that for sure because he is willing to speak to Mr.King,Mr.Dove and Ms.Compton.

If you are going to do constructive criticism it is all fine with me.

If you are just going at Dr.Anthony then say that. # 2 I hope you understand.

I am no SLP OR UWP, I am Lucian !!!!

Anonymous said...

No, Kenny does not have all the answers; that is why he tried including King in conversation, but Stephenson King is TOO BIG, too aristocrat, too enlightened, so he said he cannot speak to Kenny!!

Kenny did not stop there, thus far, he has taken the initiative to talk to others, including Janine Compton and Ausbert D'Auvergne. So what is your point in saying, maliciously, that Kenny has all the answers?

If Kenny do not want to surround himself with people that does not share his views and will be a hinderance to implementing his programs, why keep them around? To sabotage his programs? Right.

Sans honte!!

Ausbert D'Auvergne??????

I want Kenny to first tell us what he promised to disclosed about Ausbert when he was pressing for his resignation from the UWP.

They say politics make bad fellows. True that!!!

Was it Kenny's attempt to derail the government of the UWP by asking for Ausbert's resignation back then?

He can use him now?? Yeah right.

Hope that Kenny is not making a mistake to embrace Mr.D'Auvergne in a very important ministry (economic affairs). What about using brilliant minds like Dr. Ubaldus Raymond in that ministry who has international experience as a PhD Economist. Somehow the new government has not seen a need to highlight the qualifications of Dr. Raymond when flowery accolades were given to everyone else in this new government.

I am a voice among many who is against the decision to sideline Dr. Raymond by our Government in favor of horhors like Fletcher, and now talks of Mr. D'avergne. I have been a supporter of the SLP but that decision is simply not fair, not right to treat Dr. Raymond and Dr.Long in that manner.

Anonymous said...

Kenny himself knows that it'll be a mistake to reinstate that bad-apple Regis...he knows it. The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force will lose It's oomph once again. The man is incompetent, get rid of him for good.

Anonymous said...

Anony #1 stop attacking the messanger please read and understand the message.

Anonymous said...

Face it.
"Dr." Ubaldus Raymond's degree is an inflated one.

Apart from teaching he brings nothing to the table by way of practical and real life experience. I agree with Kenny. He is best suited as a P. Sectretary. This is his best opportunity to learn about management.

Anonymous said...

Personally I don't support Regis resuming the position of Police Comissioner, even though he won his case. By his winning that case, a clear message has been sent to governments who think it can just transfer individuals at its whims and fancies.

The current ag Commissioner seems to enjoy the respect and support of most of his men. In this regard, I suggest Regis apply for early retirement and bow out gracefully from the force instead of going back to rock the boat which seems to be stabilising right now.

Anonymous said...

I will support the inclusion of any qualified and willing St. Lucian in the management of this country's affairs, irrespective of political colour or persuation. The importsnt thing is that an election has come and gone and the time is right to employ different methodologies to heal the nation politically.

This response is to the person who cannot spell the complete word ‘anonymous’; and I hope it's not Mr. George himself.
I am concerned about St Lucia's image. My criticism comes from that perspective alone. I have no ongoing vendetta with Mr. George, in fact, I sincerely believe he has the POTENTIAL to be a good writer, but at the moment, he isn't.

The Voice is supposed to be St Lucia's top newspaper. This kind of writing does not help our reputation. Read my comment again and you'll immediately see that it reads that if we want BETTER things for our island, we all need to lift ourselves and our standards - in everything and in every way.

Even though we are a small island, we don't have to continue THINKING SMALL.

Anonymous said...

Kenny Anthony has began to bury himself alive. And that is simply because he double-personality/standards has always been stinking, and he Kenny Anthony, that leopard, cannot change his spots.

The book written by Rick Wayne, speaks volumes of the man's character. His background, of course, has a lot to do with his personality.

In a era of great importance on 'Good Governance', he dares to bring into his Government machinery, a man who, through an internationally focused Commission of Inquiry, in its Official Report, found Ausbert D'Auvergne, UNFIT for Public Office. Yet, in his quest to protect himself, from Ausbert D'Auvergne from exposing what he found about the actions of the Labour Party under Kenny Anthony's administration, he deceptfully attempts to get the media, to put out on the ground, the feeling of him bringing in Ausbert D'Auvergne into Government, in whatever form. But time will tell for Kenny Anthony is certainly climbing a slippery slope.

The description of Kenny Anthony as a Prime Minister and leader of Saint Lucia, in his last administration, as contained in the United States of America, WIKILEAKS cables from the United States Embassy, out of Bridgetown, Barbados, tells quite a story of the man.

Further to be so foolhardy as to dare to bring in Ausbert Regis into the St. Lucia Police Forece, sets a death knell for Kenny Anthony and his Government as it did before.

Interesting times ahead for St. Lucia, its stability and advancement. It is clear why civil servants describe him as bloody arrogant and foolhardy, and did all they could to see his back.

We are watching for the developments.

Anonymous said...

The wrtier in my view does not have a fundamental grasp of the critical issues facing the Police Force, here in St. Lucia. He assumes very much into his weak analysis of what the Labour Party presented in its Manifesto.

That said, it may well be that the writer is aware from other personal sources that Kenny Anthony does not want Vernon Francois as the Police Commissioner. Any Police Commissioner or other High Ranking Police Official who keeps Partisan Politics from the Force, KENNY ANTHONY will never be comfortable with. Kenny is not changed. And he won't ever change, I believe. Kenny just put on a 'show' a facade during the elections. But he is not changed.

I suspect there will be a gunning for Frances Henry and Vernon Francois, who try to keep nasty, stinking partisan politics in the Force. But this time around, Kenny's goose will be cooked without a trace of its bones.

A bombshell is on the horizon coming on some front. We are just waiting for them to put their feet on the wrong plank. All, everything will be exposed, a shocker, so that once and for all, the people of St. Lucia must decipher for themselves who is really who. Let the facts and the TRUTH be told.

Kenny must never be allowed to escape with believing that he can fool all of the people, all of the time.

If he was genuine, he would have placed DR. UBALDUS Raymond in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs. He Kenny who pretends to understand and know, what he does not know, could then lead Dr. Raymond? But no. Kenny does NOT feel comfortable, with anyone with a sharp, bright brain. Because he Kenny never had the capacity for fundamental analytical thinking. He is really just a talker. And even that he does not do too well.

Hence the reason he did things in Government, that at his level, critical issues like the FINGER PRINTING matter for elections, and he never remembered. Critical Analysis? Not Kenny Anthony's brain. Hence his mess with Roachamel and Grenberg, and the Helenites Building in New York. And the one-man Commission of Inquiry of the National Conservation Authority.

Hence the reason he keeps Dr. Long far from real action of Government.

Kenny may be able to fool some of the people, all of the time, but not all of the people all of the time.

He now has his goose, cooking on a slow crock-pot.

I believe almost all, if not all of the Police Force were happy to see the back of Ausbert Regis.

And it was the same thing for Ausbert D'Auvergne from the civil servants, except of corse his few dog-sniffers.

LOL Kenny and Tony in action. Mi roro1 LOL

Lucia sinking faster than time of KING but in a more signicant way.

The SYSTEM is being demolished. Look out Lucia. Kenny finishing where he left off.

As George Odlum said, it took Kenny FIVE YEARS, to marginalize the ordinary rank-and-file St. Lucians which took John Compton FORTY YEARS to do.

Film at eleven.

FIDEL CASTRO
BERNARD COARD
GADAFFI, where was the alleged brief case of money coming from? The one that disappeared at the Trinidad Airport?

Shawn Murphy. etc. etc.

Chavez in Venezuela?

The System changing to Kenny's own brand of socialism, a hybrid of Communism, Socialism and Capitalism? He using all who need some more largent for HIS OWN Agenda.

Pip watching his back. That Deputy Prime Minister position is just a show for public viewing.

People do not forget the Kenny An Tony Syndrome.

Kenny was sitting in the Courtroom during the first hearing of Ausbert Regis case against the King Government.

Kenny recommended, so Castries people say, Ass-to-fan for Regis.

Now Rick Wayne foretold the roro that would take place.

Kenny digging his ditch to fall in it. Messieurs, Queek Quak.

Do not forget Kenny knows best.

Yes some people are on a role talking nonesence on this board, Kenny this and Kenny that. Kenny has not even started they already know he will fail. They want the country fail just because they do not like Kenny for reasons they themselves do not know. Ask them why they do not like Kenny which the voters just gave the mandate to lead, most of them cannot come up with a reasonable answer. You see some people do not want anything good for St Lucia. Kenny was in office for 9 yrs, he was not perfect because he is human and there was never and there will never be a perfect government in St Lucia or anywhere in the world. Kenny did his best to clean up the country of the mess Cmpton and the UWP left it after 30 yrs of ruling. He developed it by leaps and bonds, there was a time when the contruction industry was booming, a bag of cement was like precious stones, it sold out so fast. It was very difficult to get a bg to buy. St Lucia was begining to look shinny, everything was becoming new. New Hospitals, New Prison, New Fisheries Complexes, Many New Schools, New Highways, New Forensic Lab, Many New Police Stations, 2 New Sporting Stadiums, New equipment for the Police, Many New Fire Stations, Many New Hotels, New Carpark, 2 New Office Blocks, just to name a few. No island the caribbean had seen so much development in such a short space of time, except for TnT who has oil revenue.

Some bias St Lucians saw that was to much or to good for us in St Lucia. Together with media they went on a campaign to distroy Kenny reputation, to get him out of office. They got their way and they put back an incomptent, rogue an useless government. into office, who stalled all the good development that Kenny started. They put back the country in a mess again. Now people got back to their sences and re elect Kenny to clean up the mess again. Some of these people are still not satisfied, Kenny has not even started but they have already wishing for him to fail. What kind of person would love to see their country fail? I have a strong belief that all their useless and senceless ramping and raving will never prevent Kenny from bring relief to us the poor people of Sweet St Lucia, we will prevail.

What do you all know of Dr. Anthony or Mr. Regis? Have you worked with any of them? Do you know them personally? This type of assasination of character is the reason why we are in this sad state of affairs. What have any of you done to make a positive contribution to this country? What do any of you know about the operations of the Police Force or the way police officers feel? It is time to display respect, class, and dignity that I know many St. Lucians still have. Let the Prime Minister do his job that the people of St. Lucia elected him to do. Mr. Ausbert Regis won his case and it is his constitutional right, his legal right to return to office. Leave the people alone.

Anonymous said...

Blogger above, I agree with you. Leave the mess in St. Lucia alone. The more you leave the mess alone, the quicker St. Lucia will fall, and they will all suffer. That is the only way they can learn.

Anonymous said...

thing is people were are all in this together no matter what our difference are. we have to come together to get anywhere and as far as i'm concerned, whosoever is doing the better job, try working with that person to make it better but don't leave out the other one as he will also play a key role in this.
UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL!!!
UNITY TO BRING LUCIA FORWARD!!!

The Kenny haters are at it again...blah blah blah..Kenny tis and Kenny that! Where were they when King was prostituting this country. The fools kept quiet. Are you all really serious, those wishing the new Prime Minister to fail? Are those really St Lucians? Tell me honestly would any true St Lucian wish their country to fail? Well you should go elsewhere!Ignorant, illiterates!

Anonymous said...

We do not wish to see the country fail. What we do not like nor respect, are those persons attempting to spit in our eyes and calling it rain.

At least King was open. But deception, is really where the danger lies.

Anonymous said...

I say appoint Mr. Francois or Mr. Errol Alexander as Commissioner of Police. For St. Lucia's sake.

Anonymous said...

10:13 PM what was King open about? For 4 yrs king was PM he never ever had a press conference, where the media would question his openly on the business of the country. All he does sometimes is to go the media to make a 2-5 minutes senseless statement. Was King open about the more than the BILLION DOLLARS HE BORROWED? What did he do with that money? Was King ever open about the reasons why Frederick visa was revoked, did he ever told us why? Teli us what SLP or Kenny is not opened about? People, people, people we must think before we write because there are other people reading your post, who can think. I agree King is very open because the people sent him and his rogue party back in the open.

A people that removed Chastanet from the post of tourism minister in favor of Theophilus is a people that bite the hand that feed them.
They must live to regret that decision.

We are not just stupid; we are arrogantly stupid.

Anonymous said...

It will be a long time before we iron out our political differences as a nation as we are still a young democracy.

It is true Kenny made many bad decisions including negative statements about Ausbert D'auvergne and now extending the olive branch, which is seen as hypocrisy and political exploitation by some. When will we start forgiving for the better good of our nation?

The same applies to the UWP’s; we must forgive them as well and let us support and work with the Government of the day to move St. Lucia Forward.

In my view all the politicians from both sides fall short for one reason or another yet all of them have some positives. It is difficult to get it all from one politician and so we have to settle for the mixed bag with fewer carbuncles.

Let us find ways to get our suggestions/ideas across to the new Government and hope they will accept the substance coming from ordinary St. Lucians in creating a better country.

Anonymous said...

Trust me they are indeed stupid and God i will be having the last laugh in the new year..blogger above i know what you mean...But with that said, i get the feeling that something is just not right in this administration. Something is boiling in a pot and its not dumplins. The show is on........

THIS AFFIDAVIT WILL GO A LONG WAY...

Justice has been served. The former government did not prove that Vernon Francois could have done a better job. Short of summary police killings
the crime situation is still the same. So I say, let Regis back at his post for the way in which he was forced to vacate his post was unfair.
The law said that he ought to be reinstated, then by all means let the law prevail.

DECEMBER 19, 10.54 am There are things a Government can do, and there are things they MUST not do.

A Commission of Inquiry established by the Highest Office in the land, the Office of the Governor General, is a very serious matter. This Office represents Queen Elizabeth II.

This United Nations Commission of Inquiry had among other things very serious international import.

In that Commission's Report, given facts relating to Ausbert D'Auvergne's obvious corrupt and dishonest practises in Government, he was deemed in that report to BE UNFIT FOR PUBLIC OFFICE.

Saint Lucia is afterall, trying to come out of the filthy mess of corrupt and dishonesty etc in Public Office.

There were cries all around, in and out of Saint Lucia for D'Auvergne to be relieved from Pubilc Office. In much the same way cries went out regading Bousquet and Frederick and Mondesir.

We must not as a Nation attempt to allow Kenny when he thinks it fit to go against the grain of decency in Public Life for the country's sake. And of course for Saint Lucians sake.

It appears as if, Kenny Anthony continues to believe that he is A KING in a Kingdom, and master of all he surveys. He needs to quickly get down from his high horse. Because I suspect the Chamber of Commerce and the powerful Unions here will bring Saint Lucia to a standstill under him. Not too long from now. Something is beginning to stink to high heaven with Kenny's so-called olive branch. As Mr. King put it very well, a branch with thorns. I say a branch with pois-gwatay.

Kenny is clearly giving us the distinct impression that he has not changed. He recently usurped the Governor General's authority as enshrined in the Constitution, as it relates to the so-called approval he gave under his hand, by-passing [illegally] the Governor General to GRENBERG, and now he is paying scant regard to such an important Commission of Inquiry as the United Nations Commission of Inquiry.

Kenny looking for real trouble. I am already hearing a bombshell is about to explode on his ----.

Tanto Tanto.

I would be so very, very happy for Regis is return to the Police Force. Cause St. Lucia falling faster. And it will serve us just great. Thank you Kenny. Come on move quickly, bring in Regis back as fast as you possibly can.

Take no one's advice. Just quickly do just what Kenny thinks right. Because we know Kenny is always dead right. LOL

Anonymous said...

The very narrow victory in so many of the seats, tells us clearly as we already know, for whatever the reason, Saint Lucians do not like Kenny Anthony. Many say he is pompous. He has no humility for a leader of a country.

I believe most St. Lucians do not mind the Labour Party in, but they want to see a new leader. The treatment of Maruio Michel has left a bitter taste in the mouths of many. As well as Kenny pushing behind the change to the Labour Party Constitution so he can serve for more than two terms. That has left a scar on his political life. Which is not going down well with many people. In business and elsewhere.

Anonymous said...

The talk about the place is that he is quietly grooming Emma for the next leader role. Never mind the fake deputy post to Pierre.

He has no respect for Pierre. Then again trying to bring in D'Auvergne, talk is he is trying to please Janice Compton and continuing from where John Compton left off, so Ausbert D'Auvergne can become Prime Minister. What a mess, so early in Kenny's new lease on life.

We love it.

At 4:17 pm. Dove is not likely to ever become prime minister of saint Lucia, regardless of Kenny's desire. Dove would first have to win a seat. He cannot win a seat any where in this country. But, upon reflection, the country would have become a dictatorship under Kenny's rule which would make Dove Kenny's chosen one. Saint Lucians watch what is happening in and to your beautiful country!

Anonymous said...

Talk around is that Dove will be heading the economic and planning unit. St.Lucians are apparently not pleased with that idea. So I say let's use TEAM LABOUR and give that position to Dr. Ubaldus Raymond--a man of leadership, experience and integrity.

TEAM LABOUR will help fix the problem of having Dove "imposed" on the electorate by placing Dr.Raymond in that Unit. TEAM LABOUR must not give the UWP any chance of lashing out at this super team of LABOUR MEN AND WOMEN.

I have seen the vendetta, character assasination and the utter nonsense spouted by illiterate men or women devoid of logic and rationale, inept in their thinking they turn to name calling and "maypwee" just like Rick Wayne did when Kenny denied him the senate seat. Those who come to this blog to chastise the leader of the SLP are guilty of the same old tactics that back-fired on their party on november 28th. Tell me, what is it about Kenny Anthony that hurts or disturbs you so? You say its arrogance, I say its hardwork. You would prefer to see dolts like yourself in power, but most St Lucians chose intellect. You would rather incompetent and illiterate men run your affairs, we chose competence. When fools like yourselves open your mouths or grind away at your key boards and remove all doubt as to your inadequacies, instead of staying silent, I am forced to speak up. Afterall someone needs to rescue the feeble-minded in the faint hope that some remnant of intelligence can be salvaged from the brain-wrecked St. Lucians on this blog.
