Information is still missing for Ambassador Menissa Rambally's qualification. We need to know the name of institution. Did she graduate or was the degree conferred or bought? When did she graduate? The quality of the news item is compromised without the answers.

Anonymous said...

Congratulatons to two powerful St.Lucian women. Now,go make us Proud!

Now Peter Josie comes to say appointing Menissa Rambally to the post of Ambassador is great because she is such a brave soul unlike Kenny who ran away after 1982.

Brave ? The little coward Menissa Rambally who ran away after she lost in 2006 and did not appear until just before elections so she could get a post like a good party hack.
She said she went to STUDY but no one can say where ? We all heard that she had to run to "recuperate" ?

The only value Menissa ever had was to brownnose Kenny - her father figure.

The feminist who goes on the program of an accused rapist to announce her new post !

Menissa is the same incompetent who was minister under whose portfolio the NCA was such a disaster !

What was the relationship to her of the person who audited the NCA under the mismanaging SLP ?

Bitter days are here again as Menissa Rambally goes up to promote all the anti Christian views of the UN to support SLP abortion, homosexual and prostitution policies !

Thank you Fredericks, Stephenson King and Rufus Bousquet for the venal way you all ran a morally corrupt government so that we lucians have to get back the inept kenny and tony and phillip pierre.

Anonymous said...

We know that Menissa attended a christian college in Trinidad. But we don't know for how long,if she graduated and area of expertize.

The press release did not give this important information for citizens to determine her suitability for this posting.

It's a good thing to have young ambassadors. It is very important as well that the powers that be provide special training in English pronunciation to those newcomers--like finetune them. It can be embarassing to the nation and the government to hear mispronounced words at the UN level. This applies to many of our local media personnel as well. Sometimes I wonder if they have any supervisors!

Words are never considered to be mispronounced at the level of the UN because every representative speaks with a peculiar accent. However, in my view, St. Lucia's representative MUST be more than a pretty face. The person must have integrity and able to effectively represent our country. Check the backgroound and work of other countries'representatives. They have good academic qualification and considerable work experienced.

Menissa Rambally has no avademic record to speak of.

Menissa Rambally has no public record of any worth for her to represent st. lucia at any level much less a senior diplomatic post.

Menissa Rambally has been appointed as an inept party hack pure and simply. Congratulate her for being a good incompetent player as in playing up to kenny and phillip.

When you look at the record of the slp you can understand that such incompetence will be our face to the world.

bitter days are here again !

Anonymous said...

Now you know who you fighting for at election time...he appointments speak loudly....but wait for the UK appointment and you will understand more full the direct of the SLP and where St.Lucia is already heading.

Isn't it very reveling the Menissa is the top diplomat for St.Lucia?

Imagine that, but when contrast with St.Emmie, the previous UN ambassador ,it's the same.

Good luck St.Lucia.

Anonymous said...

the names of the institutions should be published..what schools did they go to?

Anonymous said...

Menissa rambally as a woman, has earned the top post in lazininess, crookedness and pettiness. If that is the model Saint Lucian women want to say they have broken the glass ceiling, then womanhood is a disaster!

Anonymous said...

Why did the labor party people who made the appointment publish Ms. Walcott's credentials as is required, but none for Menissa Rambally? Is that discrimination or does it mean she does not have anything to recommend her to a post of ambassador? Why are not the other women in the SLP demanding that Ms Rambally's accomplishments be showcased so she can earn the respesct of women? Where is the empty vessel clamoring for CAFRA?

Anonymous said...

St. Lucians love to cut down their own.

Anonymous said...

She's going to make a fool of every St.Lucian at the UN. This no brainer only have a high school diploma NEVER graduate from no other College that's an embarrassing moment in St.Lucia history. Zot pwe a sa I cannot wait to hear they make a fool out of her at the UN cannot wait for her to put her own foot in her mouth heeeeeeeeee.

Anonymous said...

OMG is that all we have to offer? Emma Hippolyte,Alvina Reynolds,Menissa Rambally etc. I would prefere Jadia that girl with that wide space in her mouth at the UN I think she would be better than Menissa. Well guys St Lucia just hit rock bottom it's a Lucian thing beauty before brains.Pick a man on his ability to provide not on good looks.

eyezee said...

Wow, lots of bitter flambeaux in the forum. They are so bitter ll they can say is maypwis. Say what you want about Menissa's credentials but she is far more qualified than others who have had higher positions during the last government, that's for sure!

Anonymous said...

Petty, insular, simple minded but a good butt kisser to Kenny and phillip.
that is our new hambassador !

Anonymous said...

Over a Billion people in the world today look exactly like Ms.Rambally. Some of these countries have the fastest growing economies as well; so you got to think outside of the box in this day and age. By the way, the degree elite don't produce a nail. They all feed at the public trough.

Anonymous said...

In the face of a possible catastropic collapse of the euro or at the very least a recession in the EU that is gathering strength , St. Lucia led by the narcissistic and incompetent "Kenny and Tony"chose as their chief diplomatic representative another inept, useless SLP hack with an abysmal record as a servant of the people.

A failure as Min of Tourism (fired), a failure as Minister of Social Transformation( NCA fiasco) and a coward who ran away after the 2006 elections we now proclaim the Phillip Pierre hangeron Menissa Rambally as the new UN Ambassador.
More than anything and the appointment of two accused rapists and incompetents to key posts on this govt we have full proof of how Kand T have taken St. Lucia for a ride.

well we DESERVE what we get so bitter days for the next 4 1/2 years !!

Anonymous said...

But do not worry SLP.
all the liberals in the UN will welcome her when she promotes Kenny andhis wife's liberal policies of abortion, men sexing men and prostitution.

She will promote all the anti Christian views of her masters and be welcomed by the destructive left, progressives/ liberals/ socialists at the UN.

Anonymous said...

Who say Menissa doesn't have a degree from college? Yes she does she got it from the University of RFP which stands for Rambally's Funeral Parlor where only dead brains study.Oh boy big trouble in little St.Lucia.

Anonymous said...

Just where the hell are we heading? Menissa RAMBALLY TO HEAD UN. MiSSION

Then just say, this is for favours rendered. Little wonder we are going no where. Spinning top in mud.

Anonymous said...

Blogger above, shall we say, favours for services rendered?

Anonymous said...

That's all those disgruntled flambeaus worth talk lots of nonsense. You all are just jealous of Menissa's success. Those Castries people like to adopt accent. If the word is come they want you to pronounce it as cam. Nonsense the word is come. Tell Andre Paul to shut his mouth if he has nothing to say. We country bookies pronounces our words they way it should be. Stop adopting the way other countries speak.

Anonymous said...

Sorry we country bookies pronounce our words the way it should be.

Anonymous said...

All you Castries people worth is yank and yank. Who you all think you all are more than persons from the South. You all come from Small Island Country, so don't think you all are cut above the rest.

The appointment of an Ambassador have nothing to do with Qualifications.

It is a political appointment. END OF STORY.

If that is the person seen by the cabinet to push the policy of the government that is who they will appoint.

All if no most of the US appointments are business men/women that pushes the administration policy.

I do not see the cry from people asking for qualifications.

Anonymous said...

Tell them that again last blogger. They never know how to think good about their own. All they see is politics. Nothing beyond that.

Anonymous said...

Yasmaine, I am so proud of you. You've got all those qualifications at such a young age. Bravo to you.

i admire Yasmine..what schools did she attend?

Why wasn't Ms.Walcott be made the new ambassador to the U.N.? at least she is bilingual, graduated in international Law, etc, and have lived, worked and associated with people on an international and higher level than Miss Rambally. Who makes these choices anyway? that's crazy.

Anonymous said...

In order to perform a diplomat's duties satisfactorily, one always had to be in a position to answer three questions: Who? When? What? The meaning of these three questions is that a diplomat facing any given political move must, under all circumstances, be able to tell his government who made a decision, on what date, and what it was about.. This ambassador's threefold question is, I believe, a fair summary of an ambassador's task in the classical era, and of the qualities required to fulfill them. First and foremost, he had to inform his government about the political life in his country of residence so as to ensure proper handling of relations and negotiations between states. Within the framework of their governments' instructions, ambassadors enjoyed extensive representational and negotiating authority. In other words the individual must hold a Law degree or a degree in International Relations Or both. If you are trying to find out if these two women has the credentials to represent St. lucia overseas, Ms Walcott yes,,,,Ms Rambally not enough international exposure and academically no. However you may substitute the academic for experience and vice versa.

The Rambally appointment is just more recycling of party supporters. This is politics, but I thought we would be moving away from that part. Guess we're not there yet. Sad :(

I wrote the comment! lol this is funny. The reason I delete was, I made a spelling error. Oh boy . My comment was Melissa Rambally does have a degree in business since everyone else was asking.

Anonymous said...

The unemployment number for the SLP party supporters/former members just went down by one again. Waiting for the same to happen for regular St.Lucians.

Anonymous said...

Why are you all coming to this forum writing you all crap?

Anonymous said...

I am certain that people like Sam Flood aka (juke bois,) and Lerrie Carasco aka (Rick Wayne,) might be boiling with anger at the appointments. I don't listen to juke bois for years now, also rick wayne. I do not even read his papers so i don't have a clue of their existance.

Anonymous said...

You'll don't see what Kenny has done. He has employed almost every minister that served in his first two terms. Walter Francois, Compton, Felix Finister, Rambally and the list goes on. What we have here is jobs for new labour and even labour that did not perform in his first two terms. He is giving them a chance to redeem themselves.

Anonymous said...

Rambally could not produce as minister of Tourism. When Kenny saw that he shipped her out and brought back Pip. Can someon explan how a girl with a little BS in Business and no experince in International Relations can help the country?????

Anonymous said...

The girl got her degree from a no name Semdays school in Trinidad.

Anonymous said...

I went through the labour party;s website and to my surprised, the most qualified and experienced is the least among the parliamentary pack. what is dr. ubaldus doing walking around with emma as parliamentary secretary? kenny and his boys are wasting such brilliant talent. A phd economist with international experience? I will not be surprised if dr ubaldus gets frustrated and go to greener pastures. I am sure that the guy did not give up the comfort he and his wife had in the US to be subjected to this type of treatment. kenny, wake up.

Anonymous said...

You got that right blogger at 11:15am...Eh beh bon goverment zout la. Is that better days or bitter days? Looks like the better days are for some of the boys and girls and bitter days are for persons like Dr. Ubaldus and others like Fregis, Haracksingh, Fanus and those who helped during the most challenging times in the SLP campaign.

I am appalled at my party for their wastage of true talent especially in the persons of Dr. Long and Dr.Ubaldus. As a Labour supporter I am disappointed with the way those persons are being treated.

Anonymous said...

What is common with Dr. Ubaldus and Dr. long? Both have the highest qualifications in their respective fields. Both are soft spoken and are gentlemen. None appear to kiss _ass for position. Both were sidelined by Kenny. That sounds like two big fishes for the opposition if they are serious about putting a good team of candidates for the next general elections. I would definitely jump ship if I were in their shoes.

Anonymous said...

Ubaldus is overated-
He don't deserve more than what Kenny offered him. He don't have a choice.

By the way, What comfort did he give up in the USA? Was he some big time professor? Did he make a lot of money? Did he own a home in the USA? What are we talking about there..

Anonymous said...

Apparently you have not taken a look at the man's CV or maybe you are just a kenny girl or kenny boy writing for your survival. I just came off the labour party website. are saying the man has no choice? did kenny own a home when he entered politics in 2006? do you know what amount of money he was making? according the website information, the guy was not only a professor but also worked with the washington dc government for a number of years. is this what you referred to as overated? how many of your current ministers had government experience before coming into politics. Is he more comfortable now than before? You sound very much like the press secretary. stop the defending and deal with the facts. i took a day off from work last week and was very impressed with his budget presentation. i wonder how he feels about all this. i have never met the man but i am very impressed with him. seems to be a very humble gentleman. i hope kenny has better plans for him.

Anonymous said...

Madam Press Secretary if you are the one defending your government well shame on you. The gentleman gave up so much and you are asking what did he have to give up? Don't forget that the man also returned with his family. I know them personally. I know exactly what they had to give up. So please, Madam Press Secretary be careful how you defend your government. You may just be causing harm to profession with such weak defense. It is not all the time we need to politicize things.

If Prime Minister Anthony's criteria for appointing persons to serve in his government then Menissa Rambally is definitely not suitably qualified for the UN position. She is very much overated. Mr. Prime Minister, please be consistent in this regard.

I just wish that debate with Dr. Raymond will just end. Knowing him very well, I am not too sure if he is pleased with all of this because I know he admires Kenny Anthony and his labour team.

Although there is merit in the debate, I hope this is not an opposition ploy to cause confusion in the SLP camp.

Anonymous said...

Correction above -
"If Prime Minister Anthony's criteria for appointing persons to serve in his government" [is based on qualification]...

Anonymous said...

In the case of the above debate, why would one judge what has been given up with money and house etc? What about the many opportunites I believe such a person would have to give up? I understand that he has kids. Are the opportunities for his kids better now than before? What about his wife? Is she better off now than before?

Sometimes, our thinking is so narrow. Let me applaud Ubaldus Raymond for his brave move back home. Many of us here who have studied in the states wish that we can return and serve our country. Bravo to you Dr. Raymond! Do not be distracted.

Anonymous said...

You still did not answer my question? What did he give up?

Anonymous said...

If you still did not get it then you are not fit for Press Secretary. Somehow, he must get to know how you think about him. Shame on you Jadia.

Anonymous said...

There is no doubt this man raised the profile of the Labour Party in the last general elections. Was this all what this was about? Jadia, I remember Dr. Raymond speaking so highly of you to me including the PM and other members of Team Labour, and that is your response to the current debate? Please stop damaging the Party or else your days as government press secretary will be numbered. We worked too hard to get where we are now. Stop grabbing at the bait of the opposition. Just cannot believe this!

Anonymous said...

Brothers and sisters of Labour. Let us not let this thing escalate. I do not know Ubaldus to be any power hungry person. I know him from school days to be a very understanding and coperative person. He is a man who prefers to listen than to talk.

If you have your opinion about him being sidelined by the Party then that should not have been made public. We are damanging ourselves. Ubaldus would not approve of such behaviour. Please stop that nonsense!!!

Anonymous said...

We are all aware that Mennisa Rambally is incompetent. This she had proven while a Minisrer of Government. Fired as Min of Tourism and completely useless as Min of Social Transformation.

She is also a coward who ran and hid after her loss in 2006. This after trying to denigrate Sir John Compton - the father of this nation.

It appeares tht she is indeed quite an unsavory charactor as reported by some of the bloggers on this site.

But remember. Her apponitment as an Ambassador is just payback time as you note that all the failed candidates and Ministers from that period are now back with some sort of expensive jobs paid for by the St. Lucian taxpayer in this time of austerity and recession.

So just get used to it.

Anonymous said...

I can't get used to it because Kenny promised us a different approach. You can't be serious when Mennisa Rambally you depending on to attract investors, and fend for the country at the UN. On this point alone I hang Kenny and his stupidity.

Anonymous said...

The SLP is now at the helm. Get used to it !

Because of the fraud perpetuated on our people by the scamps who took over after Sir John we are now in power.

Just get off your lazy butt, work hard, pay your VAT and listen to the people who are now your leaders!

Anonymous said...

After all - we are now here till 2016 !

Anonymous said...

For goodness sake let's be honest here...Dr. Raymond is not the only one being sidelined remember Dr. Long, Fregis and others. My government and brothers and sisters of Labour we are living in the period of better days so it is within this context we should seek for better outcomes.

I believe that Dr. Long and Dr. Raymond can serve in BETTER capacities so we can look forward to our BETTER days. The bloggers and many persons on the ground are re-echoing the same sentiment about Dr. Raymond and Dr. Long so Dr. Kenny Anthony must be made aware of this critical issue.Jadia you have my support as Press Secretary, please, please get this issue resolved with the PM soon because it is already hurting us BIG TIME. We need to appreciate our team members and not to malign and sideline them now.

Anonymous said...

---Just get off your lazy butt, work hard, pay your VAT and listen to the people who are now your leaders!----

Typical SLP. Do you remember Brother Odlum's words after the SLP won in 1979? "Get off your backsides and work." Your statement up there is no different.

Funny you all win by a few votes and form a government, and suddenly you are behaving like masters. SLP needs to get a hold of its self.

Anonymous said...

Blogger 11.41 you are no slp supporter,so don't try to pretend. You are just trying to mislead people.

empresso said...

You all just like to say whatever comes from your mouths. Just so you all are accusing Jada of writting negative things. Why don't you all identify yourselves. Stop hiding under Anonymous

Anonymous said...

I am getting very concerned since some of our qualified persons are being sidelined in my government. Guys we ran a campaign on better days let's act accordingly, and stop victimizing our very own.

This whole thing looks like stinking vindictiveness. Guys let's embrace those who were there with us and for us let's not forget TEAM LABOUR. MY PARTY CAN DO BETTER.

Anonymous said...

The more things change... You mean to tell me Menissa Rambally is the best person this Government can find among all its supporters to serve as UN Ambassador? Not only is she unqualified but she knows absolutely nothing about the UN. Why wasn't Yasmine Walcott sent to the UN and Menissa to Canada or Martinue/Guadeloupe instead?

Anonymous said...

I see nothing wrong in Menissa serving as the UN Ambassador. Just recently we had a PM who did not even possess an Associate degree far less a full first degree. Several of his UWP team still do not hold first degrees. At least Menissa has a first degree with years serving as a Minister of government.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, we had a PM with no degree and look where that got us. Now we have an unprepared UN Ambassador, look where that will get us SMH. Same crap, different administration.

Anonymous said...

I just want to know how I can become part of Saint Lucia's delegation before the UN. If only my résumé alone could speak for itself I'd be fine, but it turns out I need a godfatherly-type to give me an in. Some of us it seems are fated to STEP NICE.

Anonymous said...

What a sad place, Saint Lucia has become.

A leader should be SHOT who leaves his people Ignorant. Somebody has shortchanged us in St Lucia.

... and I can only blame John Compton. At this stage in our country's development, we still have such ignorance. No wonder we are getting nowhere. Oh Yes, it's Kenny and Menissa who are retarding our progress.

Anonymous said...

I have typed and deleted so many responses to what can only be described as a malignant hatred which plagues this country. But how does one cure a cancer which has spread to even the most vital organs? Our intelligence, common sense, patriotism, respect, tolerance, patience, love annihilated in one sweep of desperation. Sadly, our interest lies not in finding the cure, but instead casting a fiery storm of damnation on the perceived source. So for Cricket... We tore our Ernest Hilaire and Darren Sammy apart when it suited us, for politics.. It is Kenny and Menissa, conveniently for some Kenissa. It is no wonder that accomplished artists such as Boo Hinkson walks amongst us unnoticed or accomplished physicians like Dr. Winston Parris is a stranger to us whilst he is lauded in the halls of Duke University. We are a nation of opinions, and that's commendable... But we are also a nation of cowards and hypocrites who occupy ourselves with the business of breaking down and not building up. We have a talent to spot the shortcomings in others in our quest at our own redemption. So we take to the airwaves week after week with our rants and rave; everyone made an expert by the perceived lackluster governance which only seems to change hands with every election. Two parties seeming to take turns at either orchestrating or opposing the maelstrom. Yet, I ask myself how could it be possible that in an era of such abundant expertise and PhD's being handed out like school leaving certificates that the world finds itself in such a predicament? Every government in crisis, every economy struggling, every society in decay. Certainly the QUALIFICATIONS we so fervently demand have NOT met our expectations. So much so that in this moment of darkness, the "uneducated" mind of Abraham Lincoln offers much light. The simplistic nature of Romanus Lansiquot is fondly recalled from memory; even Hon. Stephenson King seems unchallengable by a more seemingly adept Mr. Chastanet.
So, as for me and my house, "Leadership is much more an art, a belief, a condition of the heart, than a set of things to do. The visible signs of artful leadership are expressed, ultimately, in its practice" as ultimately, "leadership and learning are indispensable to each other" John F. Kennedy.
