They should cancel carnival full stop, until the soca artiste can come up with decent songs, which are NOT instructions on how to have sex. This is absolutely ridiculous. 8 out of 10 songs released for carnival are about 'sit dong pon it' and 'ben ova' and 'bubble pon it'....Is that all St Lucian soca artiste have to offer. Even the females are following suit and releasing songs which lack creativity, imagination and decency. The worst part is that they all sing the same rubbish. Recycling of gutter lyrics seems to be the order of the day. SAD.

What bothers me most about St. Lucia Carnival is how mismanaged it is. These committees are allowed to run around foolishly with hundreds of thousands of our dollars. They can never get a show or venue together on time. They always have some issue every single year. For goodness sake you have an entire year to get your act together and you still come up with crap when it comes time to show up and show out. To make matters worse no government has ever addressed the issue of the Carnival Committee underperforming. In fact, every year they are rewarded with thousands of our dollars to produce nonsense and not have their act together. VAT will soon be a reality here and the price of everything is already skyrocketing, yet we still find thousands to give a carnival committee that after so many years still cannot deliver a proper product to us without major drama (every year)

Bad management for bad "artistes".
Lucian scam.

So more "whining" in the streets by 6 year old kids with their mothers looking on in admiration.

More unmarried single mothers displaying themselves indecently and vulgarly in the streets of St. Lucia.

And we call it "we culture" to make it appear "respectable".

We are a shameful people.
