The question still remains...Was it Taiwan or Chu helping St. Lucia?

Frank Girard, have you ever wondered why it was that Tom Chou was considered to be such a "chu" in St. Lucia? You claim to be a person who likes to analyse the issues. I hereby challenge you to do the research - no rocket science there - and also write a piece for the lucky people of Helen to whom Chou was so generous and give the other side of the story. I offer you the following opening line for your article: "St. Lucia has various ambassadors from many countries resident here in Helen. Not one of those ambassadors has ever been accused of interfering in the political life of St. Lucia. However Tom Chou was constantly in the news, and was accused many times of openly and blatantly engaging in the internal political affairs of St. Lucia." Yes, Mr. Frank Girard, stop sounding like just another of the St. Lucian beggars who were sitting at the feet of Mr. Chou's table, lapping up crumbs. You need to tell both sides of the story. Like I said, why has no other ambassador in St. Lucia ever had the problems that Chou had. Write a worthwhile story that will bring out the whole picture, and by all means, STOP sounding just like another beggar! JACQUOT.

Blogger #2,seems to me that you too give one side, only your side. Where is your own sense of objectivity? Where is the truth, the whole truth, in your writing? Please reassess your position on the Ambassador's tenure. Try, if you really can, to understand the magnitude of the ambassador's assistance rendered to the entire country?

WTF! Why do we constantly demean ourselves like this. We do not need to give Mr Chou jack shit for his 'generosity'! Mr Chou was not our benfactor, Taiwan was! Mr. Chou chose a rather controversial route to dispense that generosity which angered many many St. Lucians! Furthermore, I will not buy the argument that Taiwan does not put their money into consolidated funds. That is absolute rubbish! They cannot tell any sovereign country how to manage their business. Mr. Chou had developed a rather cocy and arrogant attitude because he had the endorsement of the government of the day. Enough of Mr. Chou please. I am happy to see the back of him!! Mr. Chang better come good!

Blogger # 3 at June 1, 2012 11:07 AM, did you say I am giving "one side" of the story? What is it that you cannot understand in my challenge to Mr. Girard? I said to Mr. Girard that he should write another article that tells the "other side" of the Tom Chou saga in St. Lucia. After he has taken up the challenge, and written his other piece, we will add his two pieces and get the whole story. I have not given my opinion on this matter. Read my comments again with the same "objectivity" that you talk about and you will see that I have only said, TWICE, that Tom Chou was "accused" of interference. This means that I have not yet said what I personally believe. This is basic English Language that I am writing my man. And I have also challenged Girard to STOP the begging antics. Doesn't it seem clear to you, Blogger # 2, that Frank Girard might already be setting up himself to be another puppet of the new ambassador when he says: "Yet the humanitarian Tom Chou, shall be replaced shortly by another Taiwanese Diplomat, James Chang, whom I am reliably informed is just as humanitarian and proactive as his predecessor, Tom Chou." BTW write the damn article Girard. We need Part 2. JACQUOT.

I didn't realize the money and projects we got were from Tom Chou. All this time I thought it was from Taiwan. Mr. Chou forgot that he was an Ambassador, our guest and that there are certain ways to behave when you're a guest in someone's home. I wish him well.

Giraud has a demeaning mendicant mentality. What a sophisticated beggar!

Just wondering, was this writer a recipient of one of the RED envelopes being distributed by the former ambassodor and his boss?

JACQOT is right. I am sure that Girard is preparing himself in public, as JACQOT say, he "setting up himself" to be just another beggar at the new ambassador's table. Like de other blogger say, he is a "sphisticated beggar". TOOF MAN.

Blogger # 3. Sorry for not acknowledging your response earlier. If you think Mr. Frank Girard will take the chance of writing an article that shows how Ambassador Tom Chou interfered in local politics; and/or why he was criticized by thousands of St. Lucians; and/or why the Police Commissioner returned his red envelope to him with the 1,000 $US inside; and/or why he was critized for wearing a yellow T-shirt at a political event with UWP ministers and their supporters; and/or why he engaged openly in the Media writing letters harshly responding just like a local politician to the SLP Opposition Leader; and/or why he openly handed red letters to politicians and friends (people who think and behave like Mr. Girard); and/or why he openly handed US Dollars cash to our many sportsmen and women, as if they were gamblers; and/or why he openly attended UWP political rallies in his YELLOW T-shirt; etc., etc,. If you THINK Frank Girard will take the chance of writing such an analysis about Tom Chou, then you will have to THINK and come again! If he writes the truth in such an analysis, then the fresh Taiwanese fish that he is already preparing his hook to bait, might escape his hook. Frank Girard will NEVER take the chance of analyzing the whole truth about Tom Chou! Not Greedy Joe Frank, no way Jose! If you are waiting on that, then remember not to hold your breath. JACQUOT.

Frank the UWP were the ones who benefited from Tom Chou.

Tom Chou was partisan. Its the politicians however who allowed the Tawainese to fund projects in their own constituencies in stead of using the money for the benefit of all the people; for example Spider Montoute as sports minister was given funds which he spent on his own constituents instead of sharing it around the whole country, thereby giving all young hopefuls a chance to excel. I hope the new Ambassador will be more even handed, and if funds are to be given its for the benefit of all and not just the goverment favourites, or supporters, this behaviour is not only against the spirit of Ambassadorship but also corrupt.
