KING WANTS INQUIRY

King needs his blasted head examined. The civil servant is immune from such an inquiry.

If any any civil servant falters, the minister in charge is the one who takes the fall. That is how it works dummy!

The principle of neutrality of the civil service means that the officer does NOT have to respond to anyone sitting on the opposition benches.

If the minister is too dumb to understand the workings of the civil service, that is his business. He is supposed to learn this when he gets a ministry to run.

Most of the politicians elected in the past were real jackasses. John Compton enjoyed that and ensured that to this very day for the UWP.

If civil servants are immune from any inquiry then God have mercy on our souls in the country.

Civil Servatns in St Lucia are amoung the most over rated group of workers. Most of them a reckless and lazy. St Lucia has never gotten its buck back on these lazy bums.

Another pappyshow to cover up what we all know - that red or yellow, these men are not growing the economy.

Listen to the hoteliers. Listen to the powerful families. Heed their words - the private sector, not the government - fuels growth.

UWP St. Lucians are real idiots for true. Imagine the whole world is in recession or just coming out of it. St. Lucia in the Caribbean is the only island that showed remarkable growth of 4.4 percent.

Yet, the joker repeating this from officialdom, has not the faintest idea of how GDP numbers are generated. UWP government ministers have been not much more than monkeys in three-piece suits.

You are a bigger joker for believing that all UWPees are dumn and Kenny isn't.

What a broad brush with which you paint everybody who does not support Kenny.

If you consider everyone with a UWP label as being idiots, how about those in the SLP. You don't have far to go to find your answer.

Grynberg!!!

This issue is not about SLP or UWP but that of an important government department failure to provide accurate figures to be published for the wider world audience. St Lucia do not operate in a vacuum but within a global economy.
King or Kenny do not have crystal ball to know their policies are effective in terms of economical growth but relies on the department of statistics to be objective in collating and analyzing data on economic growth.
If such significant errors of margin is tolerated then the department is not value for money.
Therefore is right and proper that this is fully investigated to establish the failures of the department and corrective action taken to restore confidence in future info from them. If not all future echoes will be in question whoever the colour of administration in office.

Well said, Boyblue.

Boyblue you must remember that the former PM was presenting an election budget, so he tried a bluff. It didnt work. If you could recall, the last budget could only be remembered for two subjects, the 4.4% growth rate and grynberg. Strategy backfire that it.

Neither King nor Kenny can touch the Director. He is protected by the Services Commission.

In parliamentary government as we have, the buck stops at the minister in charge. That is what he or she is being paid for, that is take responsibility and not the salary alone.

If we have a jackass minister who does not know how to work with statistics, it is not the fault of the Director.

It is the fault of the voters who keep on voting for idiots like themselves to make good decisions.

Garbage in and garbage out, they say. If you vote in an idiot and he or she makes idiotic mistakes, but you expect wise decisions, then you are even a bigger idiot than the one you voted for in the first place.

If you cover up or defend his mistake because you belong to his party, then you are a complete jackass.

The report said that St. Lucians are the dumbest people on the face of the earth. I believe it.

I take great objection and view as a downright insult when the jackass above says that we are the dumbest? Look man we have two Nobel Prize Laureates the most in the world, per population .

STOP YOUR HARE'S ASS.

Yes, indeed. Edwin St. Catherine catapulted as Director of Statistics by those worms in the Civil Service, who are no longer around, persons licking behinds.

We all knew that St. Catherine was a much ado about nothing.

A big show but he really had nothing there. People like Venner was using him to do his bidding, and paid him off.
Now it is coming to roost. Bloody incompetent. Collectors of certificates.
Quuek Quak.

From a 4.4 growth rate to a 0.6 rate is a major discrepancy. There should be some sort of inquiry or investigatiion to ensure that this does not happen again.

Mr. King's complaint seems to be that he got the figures from the Director of Statistics. Isn't he supposed to check things for himself? At the end of the day the buck stops with him. Does he just accept everything he's told? The fact that almost everyone's economy was contracting at the time should have given him reason to question those figures. Almost everybody else was questioning them.

I do agree with Mr. King that the revised figures should have been released earlier.

I don't get it with this government/civil service nonsense.

-------
In my professional life,,financials is required within 3days of every month end.

Should I have reported this bogus number or a worth less report, the door would be by comfort.

Yet, there is pompous and stupidity explanations of the process, etc one year later. This is astonishing that SLU was being managed under false pretense and erroneous accounting.

Imagine running you business for one year on false stat's and incomplete receivables and expenditure.

Welcome to Saint Lucia.

well, well it is an embrassment if Kenny believes our level of intelligence is so low.

Whoever among us believe that kenny has changed? this is a well calculated, vindictive and agreed for power individual who will eventually sink our ship due to power

I have been saying for a long time as to why the prime minister of St.lucia is also the finance minister. If your parliamentary system is based on westminster system then how comes the prime minister of Britain is not the finance minister.Every one is complaining about everthing if you read your constitution you will never accept this in the 21st century we all leave in.The constitution has to be changed so that there will be calls for accountability in the way the government uses tax payers money and monies from overseas countries.St.lucians you have a right to protest if you are not happy with the way your country is being brouht down by greedy politicians who think they can use and abuse the electorate.St.lucians food for thought.

Funny thing that. In the real world, have to have a knowledge of accounting and financial management to be an officer of the company.

In St. Lucian life, to manage the equivalent in billions of EC dollars, all you have to do is to win the majority of votes of many many ignorant people. That should tell you something.

You always get out of life what you put into it. GIGO, the computer analysts say. Therefore, you always get the government you deserve.

Neither King nor Kenny is competent to manage anything. The same way I don't trust a lawyer to manage the affairs of the country is the same way I don't trust a self lerner in serious job like this.

I was amazed at the quality of debate in the upper house. Both sides of the house presented very well with much commendation going to Dr. Ubaldus Raymond and Dr. King.

Dr. Raymond and Dr. king are clearly the winners of the debate. I would like to thank Dr. Raymond for his informative stance on VAT, capital expenditures etc.I concur with Senator Ezecheil Joseph who labeled the moment as a learning and enlightening one, and I think most if not all St.Lucians would agree.

If Mr.King is correct that Dr. Raymond is a UWP reject then he must be ashamed of that statement since they could have benefited from this man's wealth of knowledge and skills in economics...too bad, and too late.

Dr. Raymond's presentation in the house forces me to conclude that this man should be used in a capacity where he can make greater contribution to our country, and not simply as a Parliamentary Secretary.

Berthia Parle must also be commended for her brilliant presentation focusing on the tourism industry. Kudos to all the members in the upper house. Andy Daniel won the debate for the opposition side.

Anonymous said...

The blogger before you is right. Neither SLP or UWP have managed our country right. A total waste of time. The irony of the whole thing is the people havn't seen this as yet. LOL

King needs to go to sleep. He still looks very tired from the November election blow. Mr. King simply bow out of politics with some level of integrity and grace.

Anonymous said...

Mr King wants Inquiry. Inquiry of what Mr King. Why didn't you make use of the ten years you were in the wilderness doing nothing. At least if you had done something at the time, today you would have had something to show. You have nothing to show except you were placed as Prime Minister, not that you earned it. So wheel and come again.

Well, see these blasted lazy journalist let -0 IQ King come and lambast the man about giving him false information when in February that same year 6 weeks before in his address to the nation he said 0.06 percent gdp growth. then in
April of that same year he talking about 4.4 percent, because he expected all of us to drink it like idiot uwp's. Only uwps are idiots in this country.
