"Sadly, some Marigot residents did not support this inspiring clean up event and spent the morning relaxing on their usual sunloungers while the children picked up sweet wrappers around them as they fell to the ground. These same young men did not wish to be interviewed or photographed." ... it is really shameful the way some of our St Lucian people prefer to stand on the sidelines and do nothing, or criticize, or are just non-committal to the essential strands of our livelihood.

I sincerely hope they were shamed into how to keep their slovenly surroundings CLEAN!!

Kudos to the children and their benefactors, wish I were there!!

We thank you for your support - and we wish more St Lucians would bring their families to picnic on the beach the way they used to before it was taken over by the drug dealers. Reclaim your beach! We are tackling the water pollution problem with the charity CARIBBEAN STUDENTS ENVIRONMENTAL ALLIANCE - but the drug problem is a harder one to solve.
