I hope this hotel has Premises Liability insurance if they are indeed neglient that the pool had poor electrical wiring.

It is time serious law suit are being brought against persons who are neglient for bodily injury or death cause while on their property of for which they are legally liable.

Smells of a heafty law suit. What a shame the Brits are so unlucky in St.Lucia soon the headlines in their papers will read "Brits Stay Away From St.Lucia" Hope not hope that Mini hotel is fully insured. To the family my deepest condolence may she rest in peace. Looks like they are of St.Lucian heritage?

A month doesn't seem to go by without a Brit dying, or being rape in St.Lucia.
And the police is always investigating without ever closing a case. Whatever happened to the investigation concerning the two raped victims of Grande Anse Beach, or the lady who fell or was pushed off the cliff?

That's what we get for chasing away the British Police Chief who would have had to answer these questions. Way to go St.Lucia.

may she RIP beautiful woman. The woman who fell of the cliff there was video evidence that showed her falling off by herself so. If you think you can solve every crime you sadly mistaken!

So what is the status of the investigation into the death of the British dreadlocks lady? Please tell me, how can a 20th century police department deal with 21st century pollice issues?

she is of Dominican parentage who went to celebrate a wedding with friends. The hotel will have to answer to us about what really went wrong with my cousin in that pool.

Obviously something was very wrong at that eztablishment.with all the safety precautions and regulations being instituted by Lucelec and the ministry of communications and Works.
including the mandatory installation of RCD breakers on electrical installations the slightest sign of electricity in that pool{ I think as little as 2 milliamps would trigger the RCD BREAKER, that is not enough to kill someone. the little zap we get when our elbo touches the fridge handle is much more than} that should have automatically shut off all power to the pool. who was responsible for inspecting that place. it is time we take these things seriously in st.Lucia. A thorough investigation is called for, lets not let this one fade away.......

ok lets look at it from another angle if it was a major hotel resort like sandals.. i am certain hts news etc would nt even mention the hotel at all..that said..

many hotels have lighted pools as of now a call should go out to examine all of them.. it appears she was executed so what other investigation is needed..typical small island gibberish..

its so sad..i just hate to hear a visitor dies in another country..I HOPE THEY SUE EVEN IF THAT HOTEL HAVE TO CLOSE DOWN FOR A COUPLE YRS.. i have no bias when it comes to death..

Don't feel sorry for the hotel owner. If they did not purchase a Comprehensive General Liability Policy which covers laws for which they are legally liable in this case this is "strick Liability" they would have been covered.

But they are too cheap to purchase the coverage and many times the persons who sell coverage to these people are not qualified to advise the clients of what coverage to purchase.

We need to stop playing ostrich ans quit pussyfooting. The girl died by drowning due to electrocution. She drowned because she was electrocuted while swimming in the bloody swimming pool. What investigation are they speaking of now! Find out which wire was not properly grounded and why it came in contact with the pool and then compensate the girl's family for the blunder. Those responsible for the crap that happened ought to be held accountable for that tragedy, so enough of the bullshit already!
