St. Lucia DPP is the biggest joker in the deck of caribbean cards. She's so incompetent she thinks without her there is no other who can do the job. Talk about her ego it's inflated like a balloon on Macy's Thanksgiving day Parade,I hope she get tangle in a wire and get deflated. She's got some nerve just reaping off the tax payers monies for so long she's sitting there and case after case building up on her until she sweep all in her intrest under the rug.Wake up woman lets get going or get the hell out of office. Thank you
This particular police shooting was the first fatal shooting of a human being by police for this year. Last year, police killings amounted to an astonishing number, 12 which played a part in a damning report on Saint Lucia put together by the US Embassy’s report on Human Rights Practices for 2011. ---------------------
Police must shoot to death everybody who deserves it. Why does Police not shoot you Micah? Because you do not do bad things for which Police need to respond.
The public must respect the Police officers who get paid to protect everybody.
There is no doubt that crime on the island continues to rise. The thing is there is too much concentration being placed on punishment to fit crimes, rather than looking into what is causing the escalation of crime. You find the cause, then you can find the solution to the problem. There seems to be a trend in St Lucia where Police kill with impunity and there is no consequence for their actions. How can murder and the desire for vengeance ever out, if the very people being appointed to uphold law and order themselves become law breakers? To the barbaric element in our midst, there is no harm done when a suspected criminal is killed. So why do we really need the Police if vigilante justice is acceptable? I say, we have too many trigger happy cops and it appears that the devil now wears a uniform. The rationale here is that two wrongs do not make a right. Police killing people whoever they may be or for whatever crime they may be suspected of, does not make for law and order. Let us all start thinking sensibly shall we? A criminal who kills for no apparent reason is no better than the one who kill for vengeance sake...they are both criminals and we have too many of both kinds in St Lucia. Let us abide by the rule of law. The Police is not invincible we have got to remember that when we applaud them for their criminal behavior!
