I was also expecting a story on the PM press secretary salary-
When is it coming? Next week?
I don't know why there is a need for press secretary when you MG is doing a better job than her.

Ha ha ha! TRUE.

Kenny and Labour receiving funds from Taiwan and not from China?

St.Lucia was better off under King (with Chou at his side) than under Kenny. You don't even hear anything from our Tourism minister, our most important industry.
What a mistake we made in the last election.

No we did not make a mistake - UWP screed it up-and lost.
But I agree with u. Even though mr George is beating drums as if this is the most generous gift we have ever received from Taiwan - a reality check will indicate that under the UWP the gifts were larger and more generous -
What we are seeing here is Taiwan measuring how much it should give to Kenny because they don't really trust this man-
Of course like it is lately with the Voice - they are cherry picking what story they will report on-
Very sad for a national newspaper -

This is one of the most idiotic conclusion I have seen. I keep hearing people such as blogger @ 3:34 AM say "St. Lucia was better off under King". What is this statement based on?

a. Is it based on the fact that government had no money before they left office? (Get the facts before you respond)

b. Is it based on the fact that while in office almost every week there were headlines among government ministers? (get the facts before you respond)

c. Is it based on the fact that even though they knew that vat was going to be implemented (and they wanted to) they did nothing to encourage people or businesses to do anything?

d. Is it based on the fact that they said they will bring bananas back to what it was . . . never happened?

e. Is it based on the fact that the UWP government sold Great swaths of St. Lucian lands to investors and now we have to find money to pay for that? (we owe Jamaica)

f. Is it based on the fact that stevenson king never gave not one press conference to inform st. lucians of what is happening?

g. Is it based on the fact that young men were given money (in the guise of football matches) as a means to curtail criminal acts?

I could go on and on and on. What are the facts supporting your statement Blogger @ 3:34 AM?

Before you comment on my diatribe (lol), give me facts not moralism (if such a word exist).

so Kenny has the gall as usual to pretend he is transparant and accountable.
So why nothing on Grynsberg after 10 years. Why has he NEVER, NEVER , EVER given an account of the shinannigans of rochamel. No financial accounting. No laying out of the trail of deception. What a scamp!

Why has he never given an accounting for the NCA scandal, the Hellinites Scandal and all the other queries during his administrations.
he really takes St. Lucians for fools.

Thank you Taiwan, Thank you Taiwan for your continued assistance to St.Lucia. I am so happy to see that the funds will not be going to the consolidated fund. This will go a very long way in assisting the small contractor in St.Lucia and will filter into the economy.

Kenny Anthony is nothing but a FARCE. Great Pretender. And where is Isaac Anthony?

A big show, pretending to be honest. What a FARCE.

What has happened to Kenny Anthony? or shall I ask what is the matter with Kenny Anthony? He looks like 96.

And where is ROSEMARY? Is she still around?

Such acts like this is what differentiates the UWP rascals, scoundrels and scumbags from genuine representative government.

Thanks SLP for making the difference and putting a lot of daylight between yourselves and hoodlums elected by the idiots who voted in the last UWP slimeballs instead of a government.

Isn't it amazing how full of slime you UWPeees are? Here is a Prime Minister putting mechanisms in place for accountability of foreign aid, yet you are critical of this. Are'nt you guys capable of feeling shame? From under what rock did you slimeballs emerge? Did you prefer the way CHOU was just dishing out cash to the former criminal ministers, with no accountability? And you slimeballs have the gall to attack Micah George for highlighting that positive move by the new government? SHAME, SHAME, SHAME on you fellas. You cannot be St. Lucians!

LPM should be given credit for suggesting the creation of a small project fund last year. I remember reading their suggestion in the the voice. Kenny kept saying put it in consolidated funds but LPM came up with the idea that today Kenny is pretending was his idea all along.

One of these slimeballs is representing a foreign drug cartel. What did you expect?

St. Lucian? That stinking country-bookie scumbag?

Everybody know that Micah George is the mouth piece of the SLP. Nobody is faulting him for that. What most epople are saying is stop hidding behind the cloack of being a journalist.

Jackass, it is quite legitimate for any journalist to lean towards, as well as away from any political group.

Typically St. Lucian, your pea brain constrains you to think that the main job of a journalist is to write about politics, I suppose.

You must be just another of our many undeveloped primordial lifeforms walking about on two legs.

He can only smile when he is getting money.
As I once said - he only attacked the Taiwanese and Ambassador Chou because he saw so much money going into the UWP minister's constitutiencies and he had no control over it.

Now that the shoe is on the other foot he is delerious, estatic, happy, blissful, over the moon that his fat paws are on the cheque and not Stephenson Kings.

"Kenny" and 'Tony'. Well that is a reflection of us as a people - we voted for him.

The main issue is one of LEADERSHIP and MANAGEMENT - both of which Kenny Anthony is a stranger to.

It does not matter how much money you give him he is incapable of managing it or the country so it is wasted. Just like the other $2 billion he and Phillip borrowed.

Give him $1,000 and he makes only political decisions and excuses and we got $90 worth of values from it. The other $910 is frittered away and goes overseas in no time as we import everything.

We have heard a lot of talk and witnessed the introduction of a mechanism designed to ensure that the money is controlled by a team of carefully selected and trusted accountants in the treasury. This means projects as identified will be "prioritized" in private and carefully scrutinized to exclude any outsider ownership. The party activists from various communities will meet in the watering holes or elsewhere for further discussion and will give the appearance of objectivity. Indeed the projects deemed to be coming from, or likely to benefit, outsiders will never secure funding. You could guarantee that work will be given only to the party supporters even though they are already employed and are now moonlighting. Their goal is to make a fast buck and lots of it too. The quality of their work does not even matter. Finally in each constituency is a project team to ensure that the national mandate is being implemented. Saint Lucians are fooled, again!!!
