A society that embraces felons, criminals, drug barons as worthy of being justly rewarded with parliamentary seats, calling them honourable MPs will have a very hard time convincing that such a double standard is ever going to be as bad as making money from what some consider recreational drugs.
That's all the SALCC can do to alleviae the situation? The school does not seem to realize that the problem as stated is ILLICIT DRUGS AND ALCOHOL ON SALCC CAMPUSES. The administration therefore would need to wake up, stay awake, and WORK to help save our youth and the society. This is how you should see your true role in this particular case.
The response sounds very much like that of one of our several local “Michelangelos of work avoidance” who get paid and promoted for talking loud and saying nothing, but at the same time avoid doing any productive work.
Exactly! God in heaven knows how many students were initiated into the use and now abuse of the illicit drugs by those very same talkers at the institution.
Alcohol is a deadly drug and responsile for a lot of crime, particularly violent crime. Why is it always the illicit drugs, St. Lucians consume huge quantities of alcohol is this the message we want our children to hear, parents should be role models!!
