Excellence – two simple words

How many statues of the born and bred laureates do we have?

Can't hear you? Please shout the number. I must be going deaf or blind or both.

But for a foreigner? We have a statue in storage.

Funny thing that. Three words.

Nicely put. It's hard to achieve excellence in a country where mediocrity is the rule of the day. Mediocrity reigns in every aspect of life in St. Lucia. When one comes in to try to reverse this trend, the obstacles placed in one's way are too great and often they too give up and join the merry gang.

Thank you Judy. The politicians must be held accountable for this sad state of affairs.

There is not even a proper Secretariat, call it what you may, where we can proudly display the works of these two great St. Lucians so that the World can see, and we can BOAST of.

Can you imagine if Barbados was in our shoes in this reagrd? All types of Tee-Shirts and memorabilia would have been sold to the tourists and residents alike depicting these two Nobel Prize Laureates.

But not in this bush country, where the politicians get envious of peoples know-how/competence/natural gifts and do all manner of evil to keep these people down.

As long as you ain't licking----they have no ime for you.

So they can all go to hell, as far as I am concerned. I could not care less, whether these rascal politicians/liars live or die.
