To Josie and our similar cultural illiterates: culture evolves; independence here and internationally, in comparison ... even for the great USA is an asset of diminishing value like the ownership of a motor car. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Josie, independence was the greatest atrocity committed against our people. A lot of people have suffered and have no where and no one to turn to. God will deal with you politicians. We should have stayed an Overseas Territory, at least we'd have choices. Woa upon all self-serving politicians.

I'll take the holiday everyday. Just stop playing that monkey song where you tell us to love the land that gave you birth while the monkey politicians from Compton to Kenny are either selling that to foreigners like Compton did, or just plain giving it away for absolutely nothing, as with the Black Bay and with the Grenburg investments so-called. Foolishness.

Saint Lucians generally are more practical and wise than their most credentialed and deified politicians.

There'll be a day when the vail of ignorane that is placed on the face of all people will be removed and the future that you envision will be, A generation will come forth of the fallacy of greed, violence and deceit that is the bequest of our times, to say, " Our fathers have taught us falsehood, so we will look for the good path, seek for the right way to ameliorate the human condition, and walk in it." They will certainly spring for a democracy of truth, justice, judgment and equity that their fathers spurned.
