COP GOES TO SCHOOL

Now this is the way we do it! Wonderful! Commemdable! The St. lucia Police Department has hit pay dirt in its search for a strategy that, with consistency, will staunch the incidence of juvenile delinquency among the youth.
The type of trust that results when adults in authority take the time to meet adolescents at that crucial stage of pubescence is redemptive. As much as they may appear to be rebellious, young people often yearn for the structure and guidance given by the elders of the community. They know, feel, interact and wonder about things they cannot yet understand. How they emerge from the various enigma of daily living depends greatly on the vigilance of parents and the community.
The St.Lucia Police Department now demonstrates this vigilance. To get in there and actively instruct students ( from elementary to high school )in the fundamentals and value of good citizenship; to explain the dangers of crime and violence on the entire community, and to recapture for them the essence of self respect and dignity, this, indeed, is the way of an astute repairer of the island's breach.
Let us hope that the effort is not illusory; something done "just for show". The St.Lucia Police Department has planted a good seed whose produce will serve the youth of the island well, if the Ministry of Education and the St.Lucia Police Department would collaborate to develop a comprehensive progam of juvenile delinquency prevention for the island.
Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! Steady on the lever, captain to bring our island back from the brink.

It was about time! wasn't it!!

Hopefully, let's keep our fingers crossed that they actually learn and retain whatever that's being taught; and that they can put this training, if they can, to good use.

Congratulations! Reduce the number of zombies on our streets before they join that army of the useless walking dead.

Please give an ear and a thought to doing the very same for some of our politicians too!

This might very well, and eventually reduce your future investigative workloads too. Seriously.

What better way to go. How proud I am to see this as a St. Lucian. This speaks volumes. Certainly, all is not lost.

The COP appreciates what values and not just education can do for a country.

No values bring us to a place where the Canadians had to impose a visa restriction on our country.

Thank you Commissioner, we are very proud of you.

Keep out of the Politics. And you will remain on top.

Our politicians are so darn crooked that we need joint sessions for both Houses by the Commish.

It is always a welcom impression to see those in authority paying more than lip service to the nurturing of young people. This was such an event. The good thing is that, some of those young people may well become career police officers. Well done Sir!

Good job! But the buck should not stop here. Exercises of this nature should be a continuous process and other prominent organizations as well as individuals should follow suit. Kudos to you Mr. Commissioner and your team.
