SAINT LUCIA REMEMBERS

20 comments:

Here's a man, a real man and leader, who never and would never sue anyone for saying or publishing any ill against him.
Not like some thin-skin ones in St. Lucia who do it to shut people up and to control.
Mandela fought political control, and when in power, never sought to control anyone or the system.

A shining Star and a great State man. Let us all remember him for all his hard work. May he rest in peace

WHY DO CAUCASIANS LOVE MANDELA and, WHY DO CAUCASIANS HATE MUGABE?

It can be said, Mandela was an iconic African who displayed the enviable qualities of Mercy and Grace which many of us mere mortals can only dream about – how does one forgive a Gang of Brutes who imprisoned him under false charges? What immediately comes to mind is the Torah/LAW, “Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness Against Thy Neighbor”. So Mandela was imprisoned by a Caucasian Group of European Savages who Raped, and Pillaged an African People who had allowed them into their homes. Imprisoned for some twenty-seven years.

As for me the question which continues to plague me is:

WHY DO CAUCASIANS LOVE MANDELA and, WHY DO CAUCASIANS HATE MUGABE?

I know many of you brain-washed, and mis-educated Negro-acolyte-slaves will regurgitate what you were told to say especially at a time when the hypocrites abound from North South East and West.

I am truly perplexed, and so I seek the help of the Old Owl Tom.

Here's something you should know about the Papa Hypocrite and Prime Minister of your so-called "Mother Country":

David Cameron is a hypocrite for naming Nelson Mandela his personal hero
28 Apr 2010 00:01

While Mandela languished behind bars, the Tory leader enjoyed an all-expenses-paid junket to a white supremacist South Africa
Cam the Sham’s lack of shame in naming Nelson Mandela as his personal hero is gobsmacking.
Asked which living person he most admires, the Tory leader said it was the freedom fighter who led South Africa’s liberation struggle.
“For his grace and complete lack of bitterness,” oozed the PR man.
Excuse me if I choke on Cameron’s hypocrisy.
While Mandela languished behind bars, the Tory leader enjoyed an all-expenses-paid junket to a white supremacist South Africa.
In 1989, Cameron marked Mandela’s 26th year in prison sipping chilled wine with the apartheid state’s rulers.
He wasn’t a Young Tory wearing a “Hang Nelson Mandela” T-shirt but his visit comforted the great man’s oppressors.
Nelson does have grace and an inspirational absence of bitterness – but there isn’t enough metal polish for Cameron’s brass neck.

Remember When the U.S. Branded Nelson Mandela a Terrorist?

December 6, 2013 Black News, ybw 10
by Yvette Carnell

After the death of a prominent force of resistance, the whitewashing begins almost immediately. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was so hated by the white establishment they blew half his face off, but you wouldn’t know it by watching the festivities marking his birthday or his “I Have a Dream” speech. It is pressing in these moments of memoriam that we not omit from the discussion those who wanted Mandela dead. It is crucial that, in our remembering, we not only recall our beloved icon of resistance, but also those whose greed and depravity created the need for rebellion in the first place.
From Yahoo:
….Decades ago many in America did not share in the adulation of Mandela and his African National Congress (ANC), which had been billed a terrorist organization by both South Africa and the United States. His severest right-wing critics painted him as an unrepentant terrorist and a communist sympathizer.
It was even reported that the CIA had helped engineer Mandela’s 1962 arrest when an agent inside the ANC supplied South African security officials with a tip-off to track him down.

Even America’s beloved optimist in the White House, Ronald Reagan, sought to kill a bill drafted by senators Ted Kennedy and Lowell Weicker that would’ve upended South Africa’s racist apartheid system. Reagan was joined by such people as Grover Norquist, who is still today invited on talk shows as if he is something other than a money grubbing demon, as is Dick Cheney, who never regretted his support for apartheid:
Cheney’s staunch resistance to the Anti-Apartheid Act arose as an issue during his future campaigns on the presidential ticket, but the Wyoming Republican has never said he regretted voting the way he did. In fact, in 2000, he maintained that he’d made the right decision.
“The ANC was then viewed as a terrorist organization,” Cheney said on ABC’s “This Week.” “I don’t have any problems at all with the vote I cast 20 years ago.”
(Could you ever imagine a supporter of the holocaust being invited on ABC’s This Week?)
So when you remember Mandela, you should also remember those people, especially the ones in the U.S., who stood in his way. You should  remember that those people gained prominence partly because of their willingness to stand against Mandela and today, they still hold their platforms and esteem. That says more about how many Americans feel about Mandela’s legacy than any prepared statement you’ll ever read.

"Some people are born great, some have greatness thrust upon them and some (like Nelson Mandela) achieve greatness"
Every nation including our own St. Lucia have their own well known or popular icons but I dare say there are none to compare with Mandela at present. But what if we tried to compare them? Well guess what? I tried to do just that. I chose one of our most well known icons and tried to match him against Nelson Mandela and though it may seem a bit unfair comparison, this is what I got.

with natural talents like yours there's hope for Saint Lucia.

But you failed to mention that Rick John Wayne, called the Lucian Press, "a bunch of lazy ignorant people who do no research when writing articles."

Please I beg your pardon, I did not see you had mentioned, "Egotistic and bias" and delusional.

To answer your question, how close was Mandela to John Rick Wayne, Mandela has a long way to go to be like the narcissistic weightlifter.

WHY DO CAUCASIANS LOVE MANDELA and, WHY DO CAUCASIANS HATE MUGABE?
--------------------------------
Because Mandela was able to dismantle apartheid, or White-Rule in South Africa, without the slaughtering of white folks. Mugabe, on the other hand, trying to end White-Rule in Zimbabwe, led a revolution that killed thousands of white folks.

But one thing is for certain; the South African revolution that Mandela was able to pospone is inevitable, for most blacks, in South Africa, are still dirt poor

Tom-Tom:

As expected, Tom-Tom you are cognizant of the South African dilemma, and to buttress your statement of the debilitating poverty that has burdened the backs of the Black South African family as a result of this appeasement given to these Caucasian Savages and murderers of S. Africa, for every thousand dollars a Caucasian makes, the Black makes fifty dollars.

While Caucasians like your Prime Minister of the Vampire Nation of England David Cameron, and your so-called Queen, were able to beguile the peoples of the World into thinking that Mandela had taken the correct course of action by circumventing JUSTICE, so I quote you here, “the South African revolution that Mandela was able to pospone is inevitable.”

Yes Tom-Tom, the cry of the oppressed is, NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE!! As a result, this is what has already begun: “South African police shoot dead striking miners over pay dispute”. I have left you this Video as a result of this INJUSTICE perpetrated by the “magnanimous” actions of this African Giant Mandela, May Allah Reward him for his good. The Video is graphic, as almost fifty unarmed Blacks were massacred by the Police for demanding JUSTICE:

WHY DO CAUCASIANS LOVE MANDELA and, WHY DO CAUCASIANS HATE MUGABE?

In the words of Our own Brother Fredrick Douglas:

“Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will. Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them, and these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows, or both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress.”

Now Tom-Tom, there's the answer to the question!

WHY DO CAUCASIANS LOVE MANDELA and, WHY DO CAUCASIANS HATE MUGABE?

Foreign business owners in Zimbabwe have until 1 January 2014 to hand control of their companies to black Zimbabweans or face jail.
Instituting the "indigenisation and employment" law was one of Mugabe's central pledges ahead of his re-election in August, amid claims of electoral fraud from the opposition.
The law bans foreigners from controlling businesses across swathes of the economy, with retail and wholesale firms, hairdressers, beauty salons, bakers, employment agencies, agriculture, transport, estate agencies and advertising agencies all affected.
White- and foreign-controlled companies in all of these sectors must hand a controlling 51% share to black Zimbabweans.
Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment secretary George Magosvongwe said that after the deadline he will "bring in the enforcement agencies from right across the government to ensure the enforcement happens." Those refusing to relinquish businesses will be jailed, says the state-controlled Herald newspaper.

Israel's top leaders will be conspicuous by their absence at Nelson Mandela's funeral, skipping a ceremony for the anti-apartheid hero world leaders are mourning and whom Palestinians have always viewed as their comrade in the struggle for freedom.

Neither Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu nor President Shimon Peres will attend the event in Johannesburg's Soccer City stadium on Tuesday, officials said on Monday, citing costs and health reasons.

Surah Al-Waqia

Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) (83)

And ye are at that moment looking (84) -

And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see not - (85)

Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), (86)

Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? (87)

Thus if he is of those brought nigh, (88)

Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. (89)

And if he is of those on the right hand, (90)

Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. (91)

But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, (92)

Then the welcome will be boiling water (93)

Surah Al-Waqia
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the event befalleth - (1) There is no denying that it will befall - (2) Abasing (some), exalting (others); (3) When the earth is shaken with a shock (4) And the hills are ground to powder (5) So that they become a scattered dust, (6) And ye will be three kinds: (7) (First) those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? (8) And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand? (9) And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: (10) Those are they who will be brought nigh (11) In gardens of delight; (12) A multitude of those of old (13) And a few of those of later time. (14) On lined couches, (15) Reclining therein face to face. (16) There wait on them immortal youths (17) With bowls and ewers and a cup from a pure spring (18) Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, (19) And fruit that they prefer (20) And flesh of fowls that they desire. (21) And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, (22) Like unto hidden pearls, (23) Reward for what they used to do. (24) There hear they no vain speaking nor recrimination (25) (Naught) but the saying: Peace, (and again) Peace. (26) And those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? (27) Among thornless lote-trees (28) And clustered plantains, (29) And spreading shade, (30) And water gushing, (31) And fruit in plenty (32) Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, (33) And raised couches; (34) Lo! We have created them a (new) creation (35) And made them virgins, (36) Lovers, friends, (37) For those on the right hand; (38) A multitude of those of old (39) And a multitude of those of later time. (40) And those on the left hand: What of those on the left hand? (41) In scorching wind and scalding water (42) And shadow of black smoke, (43) Neither cool nor refreshing. (44) Lo! heretofore they were effete with luxury (45) And used to persist in the awful sin. (46) And they used to say: When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised again, (47) And also our forefathers? (48) Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Lo! those of old and those of later time (49) Will all be brought together to the tryst of an appointed day. (50) Then lo! ye, the erring, the deniers, (51) Ye verily will eat of a tree called Zaqqum (52) And will fill your bellies therewith; (53) And thereon ye will drink of boiling water, (54) Drinking even as the camel drinketh. (55) This will be their welcome on the Day of Judgment. (56)

We created you. Will ye then admit the truth? (57) Have ye seen that which ye emit? (58) Do ye create it or are We the Creator? (59) We mete out death among you, and We are not to be outrun, (60) That We may transfigure you and make you what ye know not. (61) And verily ye know the first creation. Why, then, do ye not reflect? (62) Have ye seen that which ye cultivate? (63) Is it ye who foster it, or are We the Fosterer? (64) If We willed, We verily could make it chaff, then would ye cease not to exclaim: (65) Lo! we are laden with debt! (66) Nay, but we are deprived! (67) Have ye observed the water which ye drink? (68) Is it ye who shed it from the raincloud, or are We the Shedder? (69) If We willed We verily could make it bitter. Why then, give ye not thanks? (70) Have ye observed the fire which ye strike out; (71) Was it ye who made the tree thereof to grow, or were We the grower? (72) We, even We, appointed it a memorial and a comfort for the dwellers in the wilderness. (73) Therefor (O Muhammad), praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. (74) Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - (75) And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - (76) That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an (77) In a Book kept hidden (78) Which none toucheth save the purified, (79) A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. (80) Is it this Statement that ye scorn, (81) And make denial thereof your livelihood? (82) Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) (83) And ye are at that moment looking (84) - And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see not - (85) Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), (86) Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? (91) But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, (92) Then the welcome will be boiling water (93) And roasting at hell-fire. (94) Lo! this is certain truth. (95) Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. (96)

Surah Fatir

O men! certainly the promise of Allah is true, Let not then this present life deceive you, nor let the Chief Deceiver deceive you about Allah. (5)

Verily Satan is an enemy to you: so treat him as an enemy. He only invites his adherents, that they may become Companions of the Blazing Fire. (6)

For those who reject Allah is a terrible Penalty: but for those who believe and work righteous deeds, is Forgiveness, and a magnificent Reward. (7)

Is he, then, to whom the evil of his conduct is made alluring, so that he looks upon it as good, (equal to one who is rightly guided)? For Allah leaves to stray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. So let not thy soul go out in (vainly) sighing after them: for Allah knows well all that they do! (8)

It is Allah Who sends forth the Winds, so that they raise up the Clouds, and We drive them to a Land that is dead, and revive the earth therewith after its death: even so (will be) the Resurrection! (9)

If any do seek for glory and power― to Allah belong all glory and power. To Him mount up (all) Words of Purity: it is He Who exalts each Deed of Righteousness. Those that lay Plots of Evil― for them is a Penalty terrible; and the plotting of such will be void (of result). (10)

And Allah did create you from dust; then from a sperm-drop; then He made you in pairs. And no female conceives, or lays down (her load), but with His knowledge. Nor is a man long-lived granted length of days, nor is a part cut off from his life, but is in a Decree (ordained). All this is easy for Allah. (11)

More than any other political figure in modern history, Nelson Mandela has been a towering source of inspiration for many around the world. In life, he was gracious and forgiving. He understood well that the art of nation building could never be attainable in South Africa if the policy of his ANC government was to exclude input from persons of differing political persuasion.
It was his progressive mind-set, and his willingness to resist the temptation to embrace a narrow and selfish attitude to governance, that enabled Nelson Mandela to unite millions of South Africans, of all colours, behind his government in 1994.
Sadly, it's a lesson that a great number of our leaders in Saint Lucia and the wider Caribbean have yet to learn.
Therefore, given the symbolism of national unity that Mandela represented in life, this may be an opportune moment for our leaders in Saint Lucia and the Caribbean to honour his legacy by embracing the principles for which he stood.
The Lucian People's Movement (LPM) joins the people of South Africa, and indeed the world, in honouring the enormous contribution that Nelson Mandela made towards protecting the freedom and rights of all people. --LPM--

Have you people ever heard of a woman call Winnie Mandela? this is some of what she said about Nelson.

It may have seemed that Winnie Madikizela-Mandela was talking out of both sides of her mouth or being "two-faced" as one South African newspaper blasted her for publicly criticizing her ex-husband, Nelson. But in fact, much of what she said was true--regardless of which face it came from.

"He agreed to a bad deal for the blacks," Madikizela-Mandela was quoted as saying. "Economically, we are still on the outside. The economy is very much 'white.' It has a few token blacks, but so many who gave their life in the struggle have died unrewarded," She went on to say that she could not forgive him for accepting the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993 with F.W. de Klerk, the white South African president who released Mandela from prison in 1990.
