You took a walk down memory lane and while reading this I was right there. You did good to mention Charles Popo but I happened to see some people you missed out like Vic Fadlien, Jerry George, Peter Ephraim, Heather Pilgrim, Andre Paul, Balthazzar, the librarian called Miss Laurencin and the handy man called No Change.
I did some behind the scenes stints at RCI. I had the passion for broadcasting and the required skills but unfortunately I was never employed or put on the staff, as you well know at that time being a Rasta and coming from certain neighborhoods in Castries and not having a well known family last name to back you up, one does not have a chance, reminiscent of MLK and the civil rights era in the U.S. Anyway it was all good; today I've made broadcasting a hobby and operate a not for profit internet radio network with a growing audience world wide which is listed with iTunes and Nokia Phones ... thanks to RCI... and thanks for the memories.
My all time favourite on-air personality is Andre Paul. The guy rocks! Charismatic, good looking and oh so articulate. Quite a triple threat! Other announcers past and present fall way behind.
