I don't know what personal grouse this writer has with the leader of the opposition but it is quite evident all over his writing. Yes, I am happy about the start of the construction of the meat processing plant, but that almost represents the sole infrastructural project to be started by this government, with the exception of a few community projects here and there. The writer also seems to be mistaking the East Coast Road and the Southwest Coast Road, which is between Vieux Fort and Soufriere, which I believe was the one subject to large final cost over the original estimate. He himself answers a lot of the issues himself, particularly with the role of the CDB in forcing the tendering process and insisting on the lowest bidder. Did we not also forget the extensive works that were not originally included in the contract but had to be done such as the extensive replacement of water pipelines and telecoms ducts? Anyhow, this is a long debate so before the writer ventures to say that he doesn't know how contractors get paid for down days, he should venture to understand international contractual mechanisms a bit more, perhaps research what FIDIC is all about.

Let us not try to defend governments when they have done wrong and put a damper on the governments we don't support. Let's be open minded and condemn governments whether we support them or not. I certainly like Dr Anthony but until this inquiry is over I refuse to put my head on the block for him until he has been cleared. Be careful St Lucians, these are the things that causes corruption!! Lets wait for the inquiry.

Somebody please tell me that this man, DENISE SPRINGER, is NOT singing for his supper!!! And he does so shamelessly, and, what is worse, inarticulately. He obviously has never heard of Jeff Fedee. He obviously is not even listening to his own Prime Minister's bunglings!!! Permit me to share with you my comments on his last article as follows, and then tell me that DENISE SPRINGER is not shamelessly SINGING for his supper: "It's such a pity that Springs is unable to analyse the issues the way his brothers Winston and Cletus Springer do so easily. It's really quite a shame for a Grass Street "homie" to be so incapable. Grass Street produced some bright boys in our time, including Didicus, Cletus, Gandolph and so many illustrious others. Because he refuses to, or is incapable of analysing, he comes off as a paid mouth-piece consultant for the Flambeau Party, a Jook-Bois type. He wants to make some good broad points, but if he would only analyse, then he would, for example, have briefly informed the people of the undiplomatic, outrageous, outlandish and insulting blundering that Tom Chou's modus operandi constitutes. Tom Chou's brand of diplomacy SUCKS and INSULTS every Saint Lucian. No one, not even Michael Gordon, remains uninsulted by Tom's shameless and undiplomatic maneuverings. If only Springs was analytic, he would recognize that. Every undergraduate in International Relations and Political Science knows this, except Springs. And the trouble with that is, he is dooming his brothers, nephews, nieces, and the rest of his family, a family of truly bright folks, to be branded as simple UWP hacks, given the history of the Springer family of Grass Street. I was born at Marchand and I knew the Springer family well. DONNA." Now tell me that this man is NOT singing for his supper!!!

All of the springers have always sang for their supper. Prior to the election didn't Winston Springer have a lot of negative things to say the UWP. He handles the PR for the UWP government today, Winston Springer!!!
