Who must take the blame?

Everybody complains about the police, but when the government brought in foreigners to shape up the police force, everybody said the commissioner should be a St. Lucian. The people running the police force right now are the same people who made the police force what it is. Make up your mind. Do you want a competent police force or do you want the same old guard running it?

When will drivers be educated or instructed - that a vehicle is a potential "lethal weapon" (but a legal one), and is just as dangerous as guns, knives, cutlasses, etc.
A serious education programme on dangerous driving with a lethal weapon is badly needed.

WE are growing as a nation. I think education to our citizens is the key to our success. Our leaders need to take the necessary steps to ensure that our paradise is kept safe. Stiffer laws needs to be in place. We are not in a little box any more. The WORLD has their eyes on us, and that means $$$$$$$$. People need to know that they are safe when they visit our Paradise. St.Lucians, in 2 months 2 drivers were alleged to have caused the deaths of innocent people. BE MORE CAREFUL !

Stiffer penalties for driving without a licence, driving under the influence of alchohol or drugs etc...

People just don't get it, perhaps it's time to shove it down their throats.

stiffer my laws my foot. First enforce those which are on our books. We need no foreigners to shape our police force. all that is needed is for us to deal with our culture of indifference when it comes to law and order. the police is a reflection of our people and so is our government. thats how we choose to be as a people
