I still remember Hurricane Allen as if it was yesterday. I was 10 yrs old at that time and our roof was blown off around 11:00 pm so we walked half a mile to our neighbor's, and in half an hour their roof was gone too. We walked for about 2 miles in the hurricane to the nearest school and that's when all hell really broke loose, it was as if the world stood still. We had to move from classroom to classroom.

I still get the chills whenever I hear the word hurricane.
