A very interesting, measured and balanced article, I wish there were more people with this level of enlightenment, this is a country dominated by black people who believe that the star spangled banner is their national anthem, who believe country and western is there cultural music, and who think that so called grinding as a cultural dance and wearing as few clothes as possible! When will people take responsibility for what is happenning here, its not a white or black issue as such but an attitude, where are the lessons in schools to teach the young about history and culture both in music language and dance,when will it be accepted for the older generation to go into schools and give 'living history' lessons. Are children taught to folk dance or line dance? Again I despair that the real culture is not what most St. Lucians are interested in, Stan I hope you take up this issue big time.
