Oh please Chastanet! You're one of the main culprits of this misery so many of us are experiencing today in this country. Your goods are sold at exorbitant prices. The prices go up almost on a daily basis. Even when the cost of fuel decreased, the price of your goods continued to rise on the shelves. You should use some of the millions you make every year to fix a few roads and not praise government for raising property taxes. Some of us can barely buy bread. Imagine what effect an increase in tax will have on us especially with VAT just around the corner.

Yeah, what do those rich folks give back? Everyone should be patriotic by giving back, but then when are they ever full? Some are born to take.

If any property tax is going to be collected it should be on those who make over $120000 a year.

Imagine that! Chastanet calling for concrete road for Rodney Bay, Cap Estate, while sections of the Castries-VF road is in a total mess. Even the town of Castries is riddle with port holes. Don't speak about the West Coast road, Micoud, the outskirts of Castries, Laborie, etc.

Shame on you Michael Chastanet. Don't the poor communities deserve good roads too? Have you seen the latest report from the Washington-based Population Reference Bureau? 41 per cent of St. Lucians live on less than US$2 a day. Yet you want to increase property tax?

You like "Mr. Rene" and "Spider" because they provide jobs for the boys?

Oh boy, what a sorry state of nepotism.

Rick, you figures are dead wrong, so stop making St.Lucia look bad and get a life.

No way in hell 41% of St. Lucia can live on 2us a day , impossible.

I think the government should investigate the population reference bureau because this is false.

It's expensive to live in St.Lucia and we are richer than alot of Islands. This is just a way for the Americans to keep us down, they've done it in the past to many countries, it's pure propaganda.

They're trying to stop their tourists from visiting, you wonder why the H1N1 virus ended up in Mexico?
