No and King Stephen (1) should follow the will of the commoners and dismiss Count Mondesir otherwise the commoners will revolt against their King in the next election.

Ha ha ha. This is an easy case for the government to win if they chose to appeal. Legally a decision was made in cabinet and legally the only thing that can be done right now is to reverse the decision. Because the incident has already taken place customs would be playing with fire if they are to make Mondesir pay the taxes owed. What this situation has done is to show that legislation no matter what can be manipulated and before decision like these are made they should be brought before senate which is made up of members of both parties and have a debate. Will this ever stop? Unfortunately the answer is no. I only judge on the facts as it relates to legislation and as it is legislation allowed this to happen. How do you think Fredrick and Foster were able to win so many cases

'Count Mondesir' did a naughty thing and should be condemned to public flogging at the square.

If I was in government I would have Mondesir approach the Comptroller of Customs with evidence that the Bonne Terre villa is a bona fide tourism property. With a favourable agreement with the Comptroller of Customs, and the dropping of all investigations, the court case (and the contentious Cabinet conclusion) will be moot. Kenny Anthony will be seen as a political opportunist who blew this whole affair out of proportion. Perhaps, that is why Mondesir has been meeting with the Comptroller of Customs recently.
