Blame ourselves for not having a cultural center by now, because we changed a working government and replace them with an incompetent one. The Chinese was about to build us a state of the art cultural center.
We DO NOT need a "state of the art cultural centre" ... what we NEED is a proper BUILDING to house cultural events, studios, offices, workspaces ...
ALL this could be achieved on the SAME LOCATION. The only thing to be realised is a proper format, complete with proper and knowledgeable working infrastructure and marketing.
Easier said than done ... if only "THEY" would listen!
The other government was there for NINE years ... they CRUSHED the arts in St Lucia!!
The other government served 30 years in office, "they uplifted the arts in St Lucia, they are back in office now, and art is getting a red carpet treatment."
Ibm a state of the art cultural center is a modern center and it is supposed to have all modern features. Please do not let your political leaning cloud your mind and judgement. After 30 years your government left St Lucia in mess when it comes to infrastructure. The other government as you called them, was putting St lucia BRAND NEW. People like you was not satisfied, the government was changed, bring the country into a stagnant state. Now you crying for infrastructural development. We should not be crying, we got the government we wanted.
