"...against the downturn in the economy and the resultant effect on visitation", per the Port Authority.

Wasn't Chastanet just a week ago, boasting and bleating about influx of tourists into St Lucia?

Who is wrong or who is LYING?

Chastanet or the Port Authority!!

The government would stand by and let a valuable place as the Desmond Skeete Animation Centre closed, meanwhile, they go about renting luxury place for an excon in the tunes of 1.6 million per annum?

What a shame?

Another failure of the Labour Party's tourism debacle when they were in power.
Instead of this over one million of BORROWED MONEY to honour one of their own they should have broken down all that money and spread it around putting high tech markers throughout Castries showing the various aspects of our history or even recreating parts of our past for tourists to learn and enjoy in Castries.

Instead they came with this fancy project to give contracts to their friends.

Find out who built the project, who did the electrical work, who did the plumbing - all SLP friends of the labour party.

like everything else Kenny touched this one also has GONE BANKRUPT and has not made any money from DAY 1.
Another "pie in the sky" failure by the Labour big brains !

Kenny does not know how to manage money! How many colossal failures does he want to create with the people's money? Isn't the $45 million that vapourised into thin air enough proof of GROSS incompetence?

He has lost $45 million to Roachasmell. It is still stinking today. Only diehard SLPs want us to forget the 45 cents he could not account for. A small sum, isn't it? How many people make one million in their lifetime, far less $45 million.

Man! Can you ever believe Chastenet? The Court of Appeals had proof that he had difficulty with the facts of the TUXEDO case.

There is no parking to get to that place. No proper thinking went into how scores of residents and tourists alike could vist. And more than that I always had a serious problem with naming this place after DESMOND SKEETE. My understanding is based on his professional record, not one of worthy record. This was just purely politics, and it was stinking. There must be some credible St. Lucian or other name for this. That's an opportunity to change that name. The name itself doomed that place. Why not call it St. Lucia Historical Centre. Who was Desmond Skeete, the tourists and students would ask. No worthwhile respond could be given. Why? Because this was just simple crass ugly politics. You folks stop playing stinking nasty politics with St. Lucia.

What about calling it the PKCP Centre? That is to say, the PIP, Kenny Anthony, Calixte George and Petrus Compton Animation Centre.

They were the major players behind this.

You see the shame. When the millions were spent on the center no one questioned it the same way they questioned NOTHING about the SLP Administration.

Now we know it was poorly designed and did not cater to the public.

But no one asks to have an assessment of the wastage. No Government body has asked for any feedback on the spending.

No one questioned who got the contracts. Just like the hostesses in Soufriere they were all probably SLP comtractors.

But we Lucians are to blame because the same jokers who did this foolishness in the first place are now offering themselves up to a delusional public for their vote.
