I respect your personal commentary, but my expectations, which I consider myself to be man on the street who you claim to represent in your short discourse, have a definitely different view. For me the throne speech was spiritual, poetic and uplifting. The Throne Speech did what it was supposed to do, set the tone for everything that was to come later. I cannot find any value in your objection to a three three line paragraph of symbolism, for me this was very refreshing from the pedestrian expositions of the last 4 to five years. I see no point in the prescriptions you expected from the GG's throne speech when she indeed articulated the broad policy directions, "a new creative economy- enhancement of the creative industries, the how which was in the budget address, fairer tax system, support of economic and social policies with legislation, VAT, commercial court, reform of health sector, reform to family law, law and order, tourism sector etc, I suppose the activities you mentioned will be in the action fishe, the master plan of which was articulated in the budget address. to ask the throne speech to abandon ceremony and move ahead of everything else is ?????
