He joined the Force in 2011 and in 2010, he was shot while he was a policeman? This is a bit confusing.

Can the Saint Lucia media please learn the use of the term "allegedly" when describing the activities of "alleged" perpetrators who have yet to stand trial in front of judge & jury. "The wife" is not guilty of the shooting, or its consequences, until found to be so by a Court of Law. Neither is Mario Charles yet "guilty" of the "alleged murder" of Crystal St. Omer until so found despite the appalling items on national television, DBS in particular.

Effective defense attornies will be able to make hay with these published pre-judgments.

Seriously "investigative reporting" in St. Lucia is non-existent. Did you do this research on Facebook? The least you can do is to have the correct date he enlisted with the police force before going to press. How irresponsible!!

Poor reporting from some of the media newspaper and houses, just last week, the young guy who was charged for the murder of the young female was clearly identified by name and photos all over the media and internet but a just a few days after a female who has allegedly been charged for the murder of her husband cannot be identified by name nor by photos either through media reporting or flowing all over the net. What type of coverage of the news is this? I rate very poor, St. Lucians need to see all aspects of the news, do you know, what this does, it makes the female look very bad, very disgusting and nasty, because some people spoke about her attitude on the television about her personality, so why not show her face or even her description, name, age, etc, the reporting over seas will always be super official, and superb, and never bias. take heed. lacking of mature reporting or may I say sexism or sexiest, just because they think that women should be the weaker partner, they have mercy on them, well I can attest to this, this is not so at all, both sexes are in control when the have the personality and attitude, I know a lot of people in relationships and it appears to me that the woman is in control, I can also say clearly that I know some who are really in control because I speak to them most times concerning their relationship and it all appears that the woman is in control of the relationship, all because of being obsessed with the male partner. The Devil just gave us an example to see that its not only men who are the extremities, ok women are too, they fight back to get what ever they want or aim at. Lets face it, please report with out being sexist. Just my opinion!

I was going to comment (as usual) on a badly written story - as usual - painful to read!!! Bad grammar, bad syntax, bad use of words, baad tenses, bad arithmatic!!

Does The Voice have a proof-reader? An editor? In this day and age, NO-ONE should be writing this badly!!!

Wake up The Voice, and buck up too!!

I cannot even concentrate on the subject of this piece of reporting ...

Oh, yes, the Voice has at least an Editor, if not a proofreader too! Read the column on "Garbage and Things" published elsewhere in this issue of the paper. It's ironic that, while they are proofreading a newspaper from the neighbouring island, they allow uncorrected reporting/writing in the local paper which is under their supervision. Awa for the Voice.

the only reason i buy st lucian newspapers is to pick up dog shit.

Hope Mr. Victor (of cabbages and kings) can use this as an example in his "Is proofreading a Dying Art" article.

Most newspapers, by now, would have issued a correction to ensure that the readers have accurate information. This newspaper? Nooooo!!! They don't think the readers are worthy of getting accurate information. They give us crap and we should accept it and be happy. Mediocrity!!!
