GOVERNMENT SUES CHASTANET

I do not care to have Kenny Anthony continue in Public Office. If he would be sent packing right now; I would be extremely happy for our country.

On the other hand; I never felt based on his record in Public Office; that Allen Chastanet should have ever been considered in any other office of Government.

The saddest thing for St. Lucia is that the majority of St. Lucians do not conduct their own critical analysis and due diligence of the persons who they entrust to Government of our beloved country.

I have not heard; in all the discussions on the reform/review of the Constitution that the issue of Term Limits and the issue of political funding; as well as the fundamental area of "recalling of a politician who is found wanting during his/her term of Office".

These are vital areas which must be addressed and included in any review of our Constitution.

As far as the records show; neither Kenny Anthony nor Allen Chastanet are fit to hold public Office. I believe that there ought to have an INQUIRY into the whole matter of GRENBERG. The people of this country ought to demand it; as a matter of good governance; transparency and accountability in Government.

I support the move regarding Allen Chastanet being brought to account; but parri passu; the same should now hold for Kenny Anthony and the GRENBERG matter.

This is the only way persons seeking to govern our country; would behave themselves and know that they are accountable to the people of this country; who, through the taxes they pay; both direct and indirect; provide the funds for the operational management of our country.

Oh, the tactic of the dictators and Fascists, to scare political opponents and to shut them up. It is rampant in Latin America,
the middle east, Cuba, Russia, China Nth. Korea and now St. Lucia. Some have learned well from their friends
on the left.
These scare tactics don't work and will back fire badly.

Does Allen Chastanet have a history of being vague about money? I hope the attorney general’s claim can share flambeau light on this, and who were the ghost friends of his campaign financing potpourri.

My beloved lucians where is the government wrong in trying to bring closure to wrongs committed by past leaders of the united workers party, We all know Millions were given to st lucia by Taiwan for each united workers party candidate for their constituency and what did they do with it, How about millions that was given after Debbie, Millions given after St Jude fire, Where all the millions gone to,
Kenneth cazuabon as town council chairman, How about Litten Lamonantagne, as the foundation chairman, he to should be brought before the court, I support the government claim, there are other uwp ministers who should go before the court.
Lets face it they did bad to our moneys.
From house rent to mansion, From bus driver to millionaire, how about the tuxedo villa affaire, how about the checks 00450, 00451, 00452, 00453, 00454, thank god Soufriere was not for sale.

Its time to bring all this affairs to court...but from both partys! Time has come politicians are responsible and liable for what they do.

Some people seem to be getting a very nice reputation and track record for leaking funds from the public purse.

Some people too, seem to operate successfully only when there is some kind of Kokomakaque being done, where if the fowl is fat, you feather it.

Saint Lucia is borbol and idiot country.

The chickens are coming home to roost for the if-you-can-get-away-with-it-do-it UWP party. Wee mamma.

The UWP post office ... Sorry the UWP group ... has shown that it is willing to deal only with the male. If they had wisely elected the best candidate, who is female, instead of getting paid for their votes, it would not look so bad for them right now.

Innocent until proven guilty they say, but ....

Mommy, the other kids are being mean to me! Where’s the money Allen, and what happened to the ambitious plans? Are you expecting it is payback time from the Bridgetown embassy you went crying to? Or is it time to believe what Ralph Gonsalves and the US ambassador said, as revealed for posterity by Wikileaks: "Chastanet talks a lot of rubbish when it comes to regional air transport." And noting that such people, whom Gonsalves described as "Castries mulattos", believe they are "oracles" and represent a "break in the social advancement in the Eastern Caribbean." Or is this a case of political chickens at the altar of pretence?

Reading all this rubbish above and the thinking (or lack of it) makes me ashamed to associate myself with people like you as a St. Lucian.
This God forsaking Island will never achieve it's economic potential with the kind of ignorance, backward thinking, verbal assassination between those of political opposites.
They spend more time tearing each other apart, neglecting the main purpose at hand to get this Island moving.

When you concentrate on Party Politics, your elected Bosses of which ever political stripe, are earning big salaries, laughing at you, winning and dinning with foreign diplomats, leaving you to write all this garbage you do, year after year, you silly idiots.

Silly idiots indeed they are. Except for the contribution of the first blogger; the rest is just bull-shit.

Chastanet sues government. Good for you! It's about time.

Wee Mamma! The trap has sprung.

That SLP trap is really working well. They must patent it.

Or is it that the UWP mice are just too slow and just too drunk with their normal borbolism ever to note the difference, regarding what they are facing?

Anonymous said...

Call Kenney Anthony all the names you like, but there is one true thing about him a shrewd player and is having a great time watching the UWP in big trouble. Ti Chas's stupid idea of splitting the part, is the best Christmas present for the SLP.

Accountability is the key to success. Let's begin to account for all our money past or present, yellow or green. I appeal to all patriots to rally around this move to set a pattern of accountability in demand.

The thing about all of this is that it makes some people more unemployable and even more desperate. It is like when you are an alcoholic, you find it hard to stop. You go for another drink.

Some people sometimes considered grown-ups are so dumb, that when it comes to government business, they are not even at the stage of being able to tie their shoe laces all by themselves.

Anonymous said...

Marauding MPs look out! Kenny is out there with a carving knife, to cut up the tails of the political mice.

Anonymous said...

Kenny Anthony's political tail; ought to be the first to be cut up. But then the bloody United Workers Party were playing a stinking game with Osbert D'Auverne and used him to infiltrate the St. Lucia Labour Party; and it turned out; that they both found out; that they had bought a "pig in a poke".

LOL. And Osbert; on the borborlist is still at large.

What is it about Kenny Anthony and his Labar Administration that seemed to have a passion for attempting and sometimes destroys the good reputation of any one who is not "labar"? And are there not some better intention minds to stop these dirty attacks against fellow Saint Lucians??It has been from Kenny &co; George Odlum, Vaughn Lewis, Osbert D'auvrgne, Richard Frederick and now Allen Chastanet!!!New Labar,eh.

Good what? 'Reputation' you said?

And how comes he got a favourable ruling from the OECS Appellate Court AGAINST an ENTIRE UWP government? An entire government, oui!

Oh! Oui un, is it perhaps, you read English like a foreign language or like a second language. OK! You understand patois better. Not your fault.

Damn! You don't seem to comprehend the English, other than to ask for bad contract work, where someone will soon sue the government for injuries arising out poor construction, or to beg for basic food handouts.

#1, how can you talk about recalling anyone, when no one has got on any platform, or two few read intelligently anything that has been written in the newspapers.

If the public education of the people is from the University of Le Duke de Bwa-Bwa & Weak Rain, we will still get voters voting for idiot MPs, keeping us firmly back on Sheets Treat.

Once again the country is faced with yet another money scandal. If it's not the SLP, it is the UWP.

Looking at the recent patterns, the following observations emerge. The SLP's leadership has gone into many secret financial deals which upon review were very much ill-advised.

On the other hand, the UWP's financial scandals have a lot to do with the misuse, and abuse of monies belonging directly or indirectly to the Treasury, and for PERSONAL benefit.

And that my friends, as my close friend would say, however you cut it, slice it or dice it, that's a horse of an entirely different colour.

That one has me tied up in knots.

Did God gather all the tieves and put them in one party?

For all his knowledge that fella cannot create a job for himself? Then don't you think that unless it is a party job like STEP, or fooling people to give him another political do nothing job like Compton his pal gave him, as a minister, he can ever get a real job?

Anonymous said...

Saint Lucians are just too damn lazy. They expect to be given everything and not work hard for anything.

That is why we get another one in trouble again with money matters. Worse of all, they 'selected' that other one with tonnnes of money passing under the table. In other words, they got 'the best leader that money can buy'.

Anonymous said...

6:03 PM are you a Lucian? Where did you found out Lucians are lazy? What does St Lucians ever get free? If you have nothing to say please keep quiet. Who planted all the thousand tons of bananas in the muddy hills in St Lucia? Maybe you was not born yet, so you have a right to call Lucians lazy.

Anonymous said...

Is Kenny Anthony leading St. Lucia down the path of South Sudan?....dig two graves Kenny,...dig two graves!!!

Anonymous said...

2:41 PM what is Kenny doing wrong? Kenny was developing the country by leaps and bonds, you all were not satisfied, you all put back UWP to mess things, that they did,now you all want Kenny to create magic to recover the mess UWP created.

Anonymous said...

Chastanet looks like a deer caught in the headlamps of an approaching vehicle. Does he really know what life is really about, poor chap?

Anonymous said...

The Holy Saint John Compton industry of borbolism is still haunting us today. It is so damn difficult to rid this country of the hosts of stool pigeons who thrive on it.

Anonymous said...

Tell mate to go register with STEP. For Christ sakes, it is time to get a damn job!!!

Anonymous said...

Intimidation, SLP's tool. I fully support getting an accounting of missing or misused funds. But this is where they start? How convenient. I hope they continue to account for misused funds from members of both parties.
The thing about intimidation is that it only works for so long and people start seeing it for what it is.

Another lousy, failing, colonial hold-out and imposter. Everything about this one reeks of failure!

Such are a dime a dozen walking about the place, waiting for foolish Saint Lucians to give them a political job, so that they can with seeming legality, line their own pockets, those of their dear parents and families, and those of their party buddies and yardfowls.

Instead of carpet-bagging, why doesn't Chastanet get a real job for a change?

This man does not know how to lead by example yet. Show us how to do it. You are depending on the foolish members of the electorate to give you a job, so late in the working years of your life? Boy get a job!

So why is the Government not suing the person who illegally signed off on the country's land rights(worth tens if millions of dollars) to Grynsburg? Was it his jurisdiction to do so?

Neither Cabinet or Parliament or the GG knew this transpired until the brown stuff hit the fan.

Can not a private citizen in good standing bring this individual to court?

Instead like moo moos we are talking and getting excited about 'who winning the arbitration case' when the bigger picture is 'who put us in this mess ' and costing us another set of millions on top of the billions in debt racked up by SLP Administrations.
We deserve to got kicked in the pants and to suffer if we cannot see such obvious issues for what they are.

If the principal of a public school rented out one of the school rooms or disposed of any asset to a businessman without the Ministry's approval or permission of the ministry of finance , they would be fired and taken to court.

Why then can a politician blatantly transact business involving thousands of acres of lucian property , with no repercussions.
The Grynsburg affair is the kind of thing that makes our youth think that anything goes in this society with no rules.

The individual involved should be taken to court!

Can you Imagine power hungry Allen Chastanet is plotting a coups d'état against the UWP leader of the opposition Hon Steven King in the middle of a national disaster and recovery? According to Catherine Sealy’s Ro Ro machine Chastanet’s UWP held a an emergency meeting last Saturday morning at 11Am to remove Stephen King as opposition leader.

At a New Year’s party Catherine was rejoicing that Hon Stephen King would be fired because he attended a meeting with Prime Minister Kenney Anthony without the political leader’s consent. Ms. Sealy’s went to say “by next week Allen Chastanet will present unscrupulous politician Guy Joseph to the office of the Governor General as the new leader of the opposition”.

If Catherine Sealy’s Ro Ro has any substance, this will validate and betrays the ignorance of Chastanet and his advisors concerning the role of Leader of the Opposition vis a vis the role of UWP party leader (which in comparison to the Constitutional position of Leader of opposition) is in the nature of a club leader!

Traditionally, the roles of party leader and leader of the opposition have always been vested on one person. However, Chastanet's greed for power caused a split in the positions and whilst he is party leader, Mr. King is leader of the opposition and there is clearly no cohesion between them.

The Leader of the Opposition is a constitutional position and has nothing to do with party politics. Chastanet is trying to bully Mr. King by "summoning" him to a meeting as if he is in a superior position to Mr. King.

Chastanet would do well to expose himself and his advisors to a crash course in the basic principles of Government and politics. He is suffering from a serious misconception of his role as party leader, which is of no more consequence than that of a Boy Scout troop leader. Chastanet does not understand that he is not an elected Member of Parliament, having being rejected by the majority of the people of Soufriere and as such has no voice where it really matters. He does not understand that Mr. King is in the superior position and he seeks to bully Mr. King into submission to his inferior role. If we think that Kenny Anthony is a dictator, I dare UWP supporters to elect Allen Chastanet as a Parliamentary representative, then and only then will we experience true dictatorship by the Massa of them all.
