...."presently there is no law in St. Lucia stipulating the legal age for drinking alcohol"....un-fucking-believable!

- and imagine a "young -youth oriented" forward thinking nation requires a clear headed politically astute citizenry in order to persevere towards attainable developmental objectives.

if you change the mind of the people, then you would have a perfect state, well how can you went there are women dying of acid reflex`s disease, went patients personal files are being lick out into the press, went there are people out there who can`t afford to buy medication or even put a decent meal on the table, went politicians will stop fooling the people with chicken and beer and a cheap t-shirt, just to get a vote.went the police will enforce the law`s and the government of the day will stop being corrupt,

The parents of this this kids should be sent to prison, for not looking after they responsibilities, there needs to be some sort of discipline, or is it all chicken and beer out there, we have young people who can`t fine work and are idle, we have people who can`t afford medication, we have people who do not eat three square meals a day, and we have campaigner`s who want to legalise (Ganja)+(weed) on the island, are there not enough mad people filling up the mental Institution’s on the island, the way I see it is the government is not doing enough to help and educate the people, everything in St Lucia is time take time to do that, TAKE TIME TO DO This, passing law`s and enforcing the law`s, its ashamed really ashamed to know that patients records are being lick out into the press and nay-thing more St Lucian`s like is to sit and gossip about one another, that's the mentality that the Government give to us.

It amazes me how flabbergasted some seem to be about the Underage drinking problem in St.Lucia. Seriously??

1. First Communion... Most kids can attest to at least tasting alcohol on their ' Special DAy'.

2. Most Grand and Great Grand parents had a huge bottle of white rum mixed with all sorts of roots and a caterpiller in there. :) That was the Belly-Ache remedy. Your age didn't matter. (I can't stop laughing , though this is no laughing matter).
I believe the name of such mixture has been modernized to ANBAR-KONTWE'

3. There isn't a social gathering where alcohol isn't served in St.Lucia. (Except if you are affiliated with 'Pastor Ben' ..you get my drift). This stands as the Norm to many of the youth.

Go to a BLOKO and i can guarantee you that at least one vendor will serve alcohol to a minor because they just want to make the money(the only source of income) because Tings ROFF!

Old habits Die Hard. It is true. However;change can be made but it won't happen overnight.
It's a collective effort. Everyone need to take a stand against underage drinking.

Maybe the older generation should curb on the drinking. Give the youth some foundation to start on.

CHOOSE THE ACTION FACE THE CONSEQUENCE!
