Anonymous said...: A prize? What prize? Elections and Governments are all about the people who elect those persons to serve in Government for a set period of time determined by the Constitution.

Serving the country as a Parliamentarian; a Cabinet Minister or Prime Minister---should not be viewed as a PRIZE.

This is precisely where the mistakes are made.

Remember; individuals(and they can be as many as possible) come to our doorsteps; literally BEGGING us to vote for them.

We vote for these individuals; expressing our desire to have them
serve as leaders in our country's GOVERNANCE.

We too often forget to MONITOR their PERFORMANCE; and KEEP THEM ON THEIR FEET. And to DEMAND PROPER ACCOUNTABILITY and TRANSPARENCY in matters relating to the business of our country.

In the process of our neglect; these individuals quickly turn from MAN to BEAST. ARROGANT and BOMBASTIC they swiftly become. RUTHLESS, EVIL and WICKED and CROOKED and CORRUPT in very short order.

Resulting in both the country and the people going down the drains of POVERTY, MORE POVERTY and MORE POVERTY.

Thereby creating more VIOLENCE and CRIME; attracting many to trading in illicit drugs as a means to survive. And the vicious cycle continues.

We need people in our government who have CHARACTER and INTEGRITY. Will put the good of the country and the people before THEMSELVES.; September 27, 2014 at 8:07 AM
