Ok, I am neither SLP or UWP, but these kinds of jackass letters on behalf of the UWP makes no sense. Common....this is 2011....these 1960"s games can not fool anyone...

Now this is not to say that SLP has been any better in it's opposition to the UWP. These fellas are lacking....by far!!!!

An "A"!!!! Right? For what?

For that "A" I want you, anonymous above, to name one, or half of one significant project, (I am not here talking about half hazard, half arsed projects undertaken by the de-facto government, namely, the Taiwanese) UNDERTAKEN BY THE PRESENT GOVERNMENT OF ST LUCIA?

Surely, if you have kids, and they are at school, you won't want them to "cheat" on an exam for an "A", would you. Then the same applies to the questions posed to you. Just one, name one significant projects, after close to 5 years in government, from the UWP?

If you cannot name one significant project, then, I could safely arrive at the conclusion that you are singing for your supper, just before this coming election...and singing very unfairly at that!!

U think we did not read what you wrote the first time? Why the need for a 2nd post of the same rubbish.

Mind you, it only turned to rubbish by the 2nd post.

There is not a need for insults. It was a genuine mistake - not deliberate.

This happens from time to time, when you blogs will be posted more than once for reasons I have no understand of. Sorry if I offended you, but my blog is not libel, is it?

For you idiots a project doesnt equate to economic growth. what should be looked at is the strategy the government has adopted to cope with the current environment. we all are prevy to information that expresses the hardship other countries are facing but indeed we have to be thankful

Anonymous said...

exactly! Kenny have fooled these idiots so darn much --that have grown to see ecoonomic grouth in terms of whitewash car parks, four lane highways, and huge buildings.....

What a sad...state of affairs..

Mr king i am a slp supporter but i have to give due respect to you. Having face with so many obstacles within your term you have managed to keep a cool head and stay the course. i am not a fan of your party however i am an objective thinking stlucian and i have to say tha inspide of all you have faced with you have kept our economy afloat. I also want to applaud you for taking a stands that could easily cost you the elections but however and said on record you rather lose an election than to do things for political expediency. These are qualities of a true leader and as much i may not be a supporter of you party i think we have to acknowledge good things when it presents itself.

How many times must Lucians be fooled? Kenny had even more spectacular growth with tourism. He had 7 plus percent. But did that help where it matters most?

Unless the money from that growth is transferred to the unemployed like Kuwait, this kind of growth without jobs does not mean to the hungry and those who are not employed. The poverty is still there because people do not buy food and clothing and pay for mortgages with economic growth.

The police will still have to take out more criminals because there are no better paying jobs for the country's young people but crime.

Let eat GDP!

Anonymous said...

Yeah---both Kenny and King think we can live off GDP...
How about the GDP boast for breakfast and lunch!

Anonymous said...

Yes. I have to find GDP to put food on the table. King gives me GDP to put clothes on my back. What a wonderful world! I get the best of both worlds! Poverty.

Anonymous said...

... and an F- for employment and job creation. Cyan pay my mortgage with GDP growth rates.

Anonymous said...

Kenny did not have to spend untold sums like Chastenet to get his 7 percent rise in GDP. May be circumstances were very different then. No recession. But the results are the same. Both sets of increases in GDP left the unemployment figure worse than before. So what?

Where is the GDP rise going to, one may ask? Is it to the purchase of very old rotting buildings where the money can multiply and recirculate as campaign funds for the UWP? And the poor people in this country eat GDP? I wonder. It may be so. Because this kind of GDP means more poverty for the poor and wealth for the well-connected.

Another election ploy by the news media and st lucians cannot be fooled We know better now for this is a time of increase knowledge.
why not write about the sufferings of the poor people.
Why not write about who are the beneficiaries of this economy.
Why not write about all the aid that was given to st lucia after tomas and what did they do with it.
how about the ministers in the uwp cabinet who run a criminal network

HOG WASH. Who has any confidence in anything said by the ECCB especially when it comes to the United Workers Party? I mean the United Wreckers of the Poor?

Strategy, strategy, strategy, politricks.

Please carefully examine the you know what of the ECCB. How it got there. Who put it there. Why was it put there. etc. etc. etc.

An A FOR WHAT ? a four percent growth in GDP? ah well. Where exactly did that growth register? In whose pockets?

The Chastanets, the Butch Stewarts etc etc. The growth remained in the form of money in bank accounts outside St. Lucia, whilst ON PAPER it records in St. Lucia. This is why the average St. Lucian did not feel nor recorded, one iota of economic growth in their standard of living. Not the civil servants, not the taxi-driver, not the security guard, no one, nada. BULL-CRAP!

Ask for the ECCB. I have absolutely no confidence in what it says. I witnessed what took place at the Castries Roman Catholic Cathedral at JOHN COMPTON's funeral. The ECCB was represented in what many viewed as political rhetoric. St. Lucians are not the fools they make us out to be. Whether they be Vincie or otherwise.

This morning I woke up with 6 eyes staring up at me for a loaf and some leaves tea,

Where is GDP to buy me a loaf each for my kids, and a little bit of sugar to sweetened the leaves teaa?

No lunch. I will worry about dinner during the course of the day.

I bet Chastanet and his ilk are right now enjoying a sumptuous, gourmet GDP breakfast.

He sure did, for ADRIFT!!!

Who's fooling who? I supported the uwp but not again based on high levels of corruption, loss of general governmental credibility, persistent marginalization of the masses especially the youth. Check the statistics dear author youth employment is one of the highest in St.Lucia's history, crime is still at an all-time high even if the uwp government tries to prove otherwise based on reduced homicide rates. I am still without a job even when I am fully qualified to work. I refuse to accept this ti-canal government ruled by King to be noteworthy of anything significantly good or positive. I listened attentively to the debate and was I appalled at the attitude of our PM in the house. I am simply ashamed at the party I once held in high esteem.

Wheyyyyyyyyyyy, ha-ha-iiiiiiiiiiiiii - an A+!!... Go back to the treatment facilitIES you came from, you're obviously not good in the head or the treatment ain't working.

Anonymous said...

Yes Blogger, I truly agree. Ti Canal Government is dead right. Let them at the ECCB go back to the facilities and the treatment.

Womanizing ain't no joke. It eventually makes you go coo-coo.

Tell the ECCB to go to hell and stay there ok. The head is just as rotten as the UWP government. Remember who put him there? Inflating and misrepresenting statistics for Saint Lucia will not help UWP cause. We are an enlightened nation and we will not be fooled by the ECCB hog wash. The budget had nothing for me as a youth of the country, gave me no hope, did not inspire me and King get A+. Give me a break please. King never got an A+ at school is now he getting an A+..... ban mwen chans mwen tan.

6 eye staring at you huh. well you know you cant affort it why not cut on the GARDEN WATERING. i have just a pair of eyes staring and i am quite contented ad i am very much able to give pancakes for breakfast.

lol this writer is an idiot....... gdp growth is just one of many indicators of an economy ... quoting that figure by itself means nothing

Anonymous said...

Please letter writer! Everyone can see through your lies. You should have been smart enough to give him a C or B, but you so dumb that by giving A+ you expose your deceitful ways. You sound like Rick and that's not a complement. Learn a bit more about econ, GDP calculation, other economic indicators etc. before you try to fool people with your diatribe.

Anonymous said...

Unless you getting a part of the GDP, King can shout from Morne Gimie 404% GDP, de poor ehn gettin nutting. King only fooling himself and the stupid people in yellow t-shirts. Dey too dumb to notice anything but rum and chicken legs while the ministers getting all de mullah buying expensive this and that.

DON'T BELIEVE IT ST LUCIA.SOMEONE IS TRYING SOMETHING.
LET US MAKE OUR VOTING CHOICES INDEPENDENT OF WHAT PEOPLE SAY BUT WHAT ON WE FEEL AND THINK IN THE PRIVACY OF OUR HEARTS,BASED ON OUR EXPERIENCES IN THE PAST FIVE YEARS REGARDING ALL THE POLITICAL PARTIES GOING UP FOR ELECTIONS.
