That deputy should be fired forthwith losing pension and benefits, under orders from the PSC.

Too much is happening in the undermining of law and order in this country.

The Services Commission must make an example of this rogue policeman.

He must be given his marching orders immediately.

A demotion is never ever going to be good enough.

What is SLP and LPM doing about this?

That is exactly why he was placed there. He is doing his job. Bravo Charlo

Isn't that story news-worthy? Why isn't Rick Wayne and his bias Star Newspaper commenting on this story? Is Rick Wayne condoning the actions of Richard Fredericks and his goon, by his silence on this?

I agree, fire the deputy, what a disgrace to the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force.

I agree, blogger, where is Rick Wayne and his kinds of "truth-bringing" to light? What is Rick Wayne's stance on that? Did they pay him off to keep his flappers shut?

The point here is that this high ranking police officer bowed to political pressure to allow this man to go free, I am sure there may be something that he could be disciplined on, lets give him his rights because we don't want to be like him, we believe in justice. I hope the injured officer takes legal advice himself because he should take action against the alleged Criminal and the Minister, and they should be made to pay for the officers legal costs.

Nothing will come out of that unfortunate, but sanctioned actions by Richard Frederick and his henchmen.

Imagine the entire Caribbean and the world at large reading that article!!

What a sad day our local politics has become since Richard Frederick entered the fray!

What #7 and #8 are surely missing is that someone, bypassed the chain of command. At the court level, this is unforgivable. That someone has to pay the consequences.

You break the rules. You pay the consequences. There is no need for any pussyfooting on whose shoulders the responsibility lies regarding restoration of law and order in this country.

No matter how long it takes, the goons that make up this UWP so-called government will face the music sooner or later unless they flee the country. This will not die!

The STAR's sole agenda is to promote the UWP. Havn't you notice that nothing appears on the SLP or even the LPM? And if anything appears it is often critical or negative about these two opposition political parties.

If Stephenson King is still the Prime Minister of St. Lucia, he had better and rather quickly, find a way of appearing before the nation and answering to the serious erosion of law and order under his watch. The people are tired of paying him for reading speeches the words of which he clearly does not understand or put into effect.

If he does not act quickly, this latest development points to the fact that he may well be placing his own life and personal safety, as well as those of others in grave danger.

The mole of the underground economy has identified himself.

The goons and 'bad boys' are now acting seemingly under the instructions and with the approval of the chief of the underground economy.

Amen, above...

If the incident occurred in his presence, this constitutes supervision. The mole in the police force has shown his power and who he reports to in scheme of things. The goons are sowing the seeds for a civil war in the country.

People like FREDERICK THEY ARE POISON TO THE ISLAND,THE DEPUTY SHOULD BE FIRED FIRED,THATS IT,THE GOONS OF fREDERICK SHOULD BE IN JAIL,WHAT A SHAME WHEN IS THE STAR GOING TO COMMENT ON THIS WAKE UP St. Lucis

As time goes by they become dangerous to them selves and to the nation. I s this the begining of terror on the Helen,is our ST LUCIA becoming the home of hoodlums controlled by a bad bad minister of government or they are forgetting themselves to the extent that such contradictions and disrespect take place, such disregard to the law by thugs who are being protected by a drug dealer and what else. Who knows they carry baggage. The sucker should be kicked out. SALOP!!

somehow the cries are NEVER as loud when we hear of cases of police brutality. Police officers in St. Lucia are notorious for beating, shooting, killing and mistreating citizens simply because they feel they have the power to do so and are above the law. I know of many innocent persons who have been attacked by police officers and nothing was ever said or done about that.

As much as I despise R. Frederick and ALL of the things he does, NO sympathy comes from me for those police officers in St.Lucia. Many of them take advantage of the little badge they are given and attack citizens so I could care less if that officer got one, two slaps

This should be quite a piece for rick wayne to write as he is so deceptive and cunning in his writings and column
What a shame, Here we go again
Our quiet prime minister isn't talking. [ St licy fini]

Anonymous above, "St LeeCee Fini"; 'fini too sell'...it finished since the drug lord entered politics.

Don't hold your breath on Rick Wayne's writing on this incident - this incident has nothing to do with Kenny Anthony, so Rick Wayne will be extremely quiet. I am surprised he has not written in defense of Richard Frederick on the press release issued by the SLP. A dangerous cancer, Rick Wayne is!

AS for the prime minister, what is he going to say, unless he needs and wants another "goor-jet" from the drug lord.

I would not even go there because Mr. Anthony have his own problems still lingering from the last St Lucia SLP adminstration.

I am simply tired of these politicians.

The longest day has an end. They can drag the inevitable. They will run. They can not hide forever! An attack on the police under the supervision of the drug lord is no small matter. This too shall pass.

The UWP is a just a group of scumbags who fooled the people. They deserve everybody's scorn.

The deputy should get the sack immediately and lose pension, gratuity and all benefits.

Make an example of this underground representative of the narcotics industry within the police force.

Governor General use your reserve powers to bring an end to this mockery and caricature that passes for government in St. Lucia each and everyday,

Please! What else must happen for you to act? This was a step too far! That was beyond the pale.

We've had enough! Come on! Get on the right side of history. You can no longer remain part of the collapse of government and law and order in St. Lucia.

Posterity will not judge you kindly if you don't.
