While King benefits from his silence Saint Lucia suffers

This case must be brought to trial so that the tentacles of the drug underworld in St. Lucia be fully exposed from deep inside the UWP to the death squads on the streets. The Voice will sell newspapers. Smoking Joe is a smoking gun.

I agree, above, but Smoking Joe may "expire" before the trial, for obvious reasons.

See what happened to the Customs guy. He had valuable information, but he was "hit", shutting him off, no doubt, by a paid operative of the drug lord's boss.

I applaud the effort of this writer for exposing King's blatant disregard for justice and true governance. Thank God that someone other than myself sees that King is not fit to be PM let alone to "lead a boys scout" according to Rick Wayne.

I am confident that St.Lucians are not as foolish anymore, and will see a need to have King serve in only one place and that his palace with his queen.

I want better representation, and Morgie song aptly captures the incomptence, betrayal, corruption, myopic and ti-canal vision of this UWP administration.

It is my hope that Dr. Ubaldus Raymond will unseat King at the next general elections. We need better representation and I see the potential of true leadership in Dr. Raymond than King.

I am not concerned about the propaganda being spread by a faction of society, belittling the achievements of intellectuals among us such as PhD's which by the way has entered the UWP camp. I am more interested in embracing the intellectuals since research shows that countries with the most educated people are the most advanced economically and socially.

It bruises Kenny's pride whenever he is reminded that a non-college graduate - who is loved and respected by most - runs the country.

And he, Kenny, with all of his Phd., but not likeable, is on the outside looking in.

A return of the Labour Party to power would mean the return of Philip J. Pierre to head the tourism ministry; our most important industry.

And say good-bye to Allan Chastanet; the most qualified and hardest working tourism minister this country has ever known.

This is not the time to play with the stewardship of our most important industry; especially one that touches 5 out of every 6 St. Lucians.

That's where you're wrong Anonymous # 5. Philip J. Pierre will not be Tourism Minister anymore. He has already proved himself more than worthy of a higher portfolio. Pierre will be our new Minister of Finance. After Kenny's MANY BOO-BOOS in Finance, the people of St. Lucia will NOT allow him to even pass by the Finance Ministry anymore. The Economist, Phillip J. Pierre, will take over Finance. St. Lucians will see to it that the necessary constitutional changes are made for someone who is not Prime Minister to have the legal right to be Finance Minister. We CANNOT put our monies into Kenny's care anymore. No MASSA-minded person can be St. Lucia's Finance Minister ever again. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!!

If Philip J. Pierre will not return as tourism minister, who will?

St.Lucia's most important industry shouldn't be put into the hands of Labour Party rookies.

Whether you like him or not, you'll have to admit that Chastanet is the best person, at this particular time, for the tourism job. He has access to doors and venues that others in the Labour Party mightn't be able to duplicate.

If we cannot trust Kenny Anthony to handle finance, how can we, therefore, trust him to be Prime Minister?

The same way YOU trust King to be your Prime Minister.

Who fooled blogger #4? Hope that blogger will not continue on his foolish and ill-advised trip to announce that PM King is "respected and loved" by the St.Lucian people.

Tell PM King call elections. It is only then will St.Lucians have the proof that the general citizenry has had enough of the stupidity and corruption of the UWP government. I will never again look up to this government that I once had an appreciation for. Hope the uwp stalwarts will realize that the sincere group of uwp supporters will never, never support the likes of Frederick, Rufus, King, the two Guy's and Mondesir.

The UWP can only make a comeback if true uwp's are at the helm, and that includes Jeanine Compton-Antoine. While King may be the longest serving person on the uwp, he does not deserve any position in the party again. His words, actions and inactions have sealed his fate forever. KING SIMPLY CANNOT BE TRUSTED, RESPECTED AND LOVED ANYMORE.

It is no secret, I along with many longtime UWP supporters will vote SLP this time until we can see a true and genuine change in the leadership of the UWP.

I am from Castries North, and it would be against my interest and the people of St. Lucia to vote for King instead of Dr. Ubaldus Raymond.

I agree with you 100%. My vote is another uwp vote for the SLP candidate Dr. Ubaldus Raymond. Because like the previous blogger, it's against my interest to vote for King.

I agree with the last two bloggers. UWP will NEVER be the same as long as the likes of Rufus, kar-ka-nez and malicious Frederick, Modeisir, et al are in the party. Not for nothing did Sir John Compton saw it fitting to fire jail-bird Rufus, not once, but twice, from his cabinet. The same Rufus, and by extension, the worse of the lot - Frederick - who now holds Stepheson King ransom, and are the ones calling the shots!

That makes three of us, not counting other members of my household, who will NOT vote for the UWP unless men of character and substance presents themselves.

Poor Compton must be turning in his grave, knowing how King, Frederick, Mondeisir and Rufus has brought St Lucia to its knees.

Well. Well. Well. What do you know!

You mean, that all those doors and venues that are in Butch Stewarts back pockets?

Who today does not know that no constitutional change is necessary to have the PM as PM and another minister as Minister of Finance. From its pure form, the constitution which borrows from what is in England the PM's job is different from the Chancellor's, who would be the same as the minister of finance in St. Lucia.

Chastenet works his mouth a lot harder than his gray matter, that is why is Minister of Aviation Disagreements. Show him how to get one, just one, right.

The UWP stalwarts need to be more attentive to the electorate. Remember party stalwarts, the electorate are the ones who vote leaders in or out. The true supporters of the UWP are very much frustrated and disappointed with what's going on in this country.

I am disappointed with the way our country is being governed. I simply cannot in all good conscience support Mr. King. I am still bothered by Mr. King's words at the last sitting of the house against the late Sir John and his treatment of Jeanine. Mr. King's actions and words on that day confirmed that he is not be trusted, and simply is not a nice or good person.

I am still looking forward to a cadre of competent leaders in the ranks of the uwp to include Jeanine, Dr. Rigobert, Chastanet, and Montoute and others not there yet. The party lacks qualified, educated and competent leaders to advance effective policies to benefit all.

If Mr. King truly means well for the party, he should give up his position as leader and PM. I long to be part of the party I once admired...Hope the party stalwarts are listening to our concerns. By all accounts, SLP will win the next elections but this should send a clear message to the party that men and women of integrity and education should present themselves within the ranks of the uwp party. Hope this election will present a situation where Jeanine and other well-intentioned leaders from both sides will band together for a stronger and better party for the people.

Kenny will never sit on the PM's chair again...well, unless he steals it.

With this barbie doll who has no job except by aligning herself with a party, the other parties will eat the supper of the UWP. International relations does not say you can do much better than Ambassador Laurent, tell us the inevitable.

UWP has no depth in term of people who can plan anything but mischief, mayhem and destruction. The results are all around us.

The UWP has brought squalid living in the ghettos, more drugs to more neighbourhoods, murder to more neighbourhoods, death and destruction to more neighbourhoods. What is that group of spineless effeminates, con-men, con-artists, drug bosses, liars, jailbirds, US inmates, cheats, rogue politicians, political bandits, and directors of goons and executioners on our streets and in our neighbourhoods all good for? Absolutely nothing!

hey blogger 3, you applaud the "efforts of the writer". can't you see this is an SLP propaganda, or are you part of the SLP's propaganda machine? Why doesn't the SLP find its own newspaper to spew its garbage?

Anonymous said...

SO because Dr. Rigobert did not align herself with the SLP, she's a "barbie doll"? Not too long along the SLP was the party of the malaway, not it's the party of the elitist intellectuals.

True! True! True! What can the country do with a barbie doll?
