I am interested in this book. need to get a different perspective of the 79/82 period from a major player.Though i disagreed with a lot of Josie's actions during these period it would be interesting to hear his side.I have noticed many hacks spewing venom at Josie,but i for one strongly believe that if it was not for his decision to stay with the SLP during and after this period the SLP most likely would have been extinct.So to the idiots who continue imprisoning themselves in their ideological prison i pity you.Josie has done a lot more for the SLP than many of those we worship today. The hypocrites must take note of Johnny come lately so called SLP's who were Staunch Flambeau"s at the height of the struggle.When Julian Hunte got rid of Josie and Calderon for challenging him for the leadership was it right? Look how quickly how they have forgiven Julian Hunte and the other turncoats who supported John Compton during his most repressive years{1974 to 1979}.Do we really understand our political history? John Compton,Allan Bousquet and JMD Bousquet were SLP's.I ask the question again.Why do we imprison ourselves to party loyalty and ideologies while the leaders of these same parties are free to walk away and come back as they please? like idiots we remain ever loyal to our respective parties while the very leaders of the parties betray the principles of their respective parties.What exactly are we loyal to? Is it the letters UWP and SLP or is it the Principles we stand by in life?

The people who publish these obsenities seems to believe that they are secured under the guise of anonymity. But they must be mindful of the fact that they are allowed to be "anonymous",as long as the powers that be allow them to be....it is not difficult to trace your real identity!

Josie, I will be one of the first to purchase your book. $65 will not make me poorer or richer. My only condition is that having read your work, I promise you that I will not hesitate to publish my comments on the same. Let me say off-the-bat here, that I have observed with great disappointment that you have not been writing with conviction over the past several years. You have not been writing from the soul, and you have not been speaking to us via this Voice newspaper from your heart. Your many articles have not been laced with the oil and the glue of truth. Your writings have been coming from your head, not from your inner being. In other words, Josie, you have not been speaking truth to St. Lucians during the past 17 years, and most notably, during the 1997 - 2006 period of SLP governance. Then, your untruths became even more glaring, pitiful, soul-less, dishonest and "declasse", during the most dismal and shameful period of any government administration in St. Lucia, the Stephenson King government of 2007 - 2011. During that time Josie, you demonstrated the lowest of the low in terms of soul-less writing. Never before had I seen someone posing as a writer, yet so untruthfully engaged in printing half-truths and composing such sorry and empty sentences and paragraphs, that were so utterly devoid of analysis, and depth, and conviction. In other words Josie, like the bloggers constantly and untiringly said on this blog, you were "singing for your supper." I recall a blogger who would repeat over and over, after nearly each article you wrote, "sing Josie sing, sing Josie sing, sing till your throat get dry, you gonna sing for supper tonight." That blogger, whoever he or she is, was obviously someone who knew the truth (and the glaring lies) about your writings. I will buy your book as soon as I travel to Castries, but I will not hesitate to give you back your full $65 worth of properly published commentary, if this production of yours is anything like the empty songs that you have been singing during these past 17 years of your life here in Helen. It may be significant that you admitted above that you tried your best to write the truth in your book. I hope you actually did write the truth, because I'm certain that Sir John and Brother George are there waiting in Purgatory, well armed, thirsty, vengeful and impatient. NAME TO BE REVEALED SOON.

Well said above @ 3:16 AM, YOU CANNOT SPEAK THE TRUTH BETTER THAN THAT. Mangal I believe you have an axe to grind , and you should grind it in the proper place because writing your foolishness on this paper will take you nowhere. Who are the Johny come lately you are talking about? You want to blame somebody for Josie singing for his supper today in the disarrayed UWP camp? Josie must blame himself. These same Johnny come lately have won THREE (3) ELECTIONS for Labour. What has Josies done for Labour so much more than them for Labour? These Johnny come lately has developed St Lucia more than any administration has done in St Lucia history. Show me anything good that Josie has left in St Lucia as his blue print. If Josie is so much for Labour, why is he so much against them now?
