Why not an effort to routinely measure and report on a national productivity figure after all these meetings? If this is just a one-time effort aimed at just benchmarking other countries, it will tell us precious little in terms of continuous national improvement. Neither does this initiative seem to aimed at to inform discussions surrounding negotiations regarding wage rates and salary increases in both the private and public sectors vis-à-vis tax increases and inflation.
