What friendly country, the U.S.? So are you telling St Lucians that the U.S. is friendly towards us, right?...Stay in your basement Apt., perhaps without heat in winter, and AC in summer, and write crap...to flatter the yankees!!
So this self-proclaimed "superpower" and leader of the "free world" is getting all in a huff about the principle of territorial integrity and inviolability of sovereignty in far off lands while at the same time its agents are demanding its neighbours prostrate themselves in acknowledgement of their vassal status?
What is wrong if St. Lucia opens bilateral relations with Russia? The enemy of my friend should also be my enemy. This is the kind of myopic reasoning that has plagued St. Lucia for decades. We do not seem to have deep thinkers anymore. The politicians are engaged in causing panic and hysteria. The populace with few exceptions are spewing venom on the political landscape. Did you know that President Nixon went to China when it was very unpopular for him to do so? Open you mind my friend and get out of your comfort zone. Think critically and globally. In so doing, I hope you have a better perspective on life.
