Visitor harassment is done most by male persons but no wonder. If you look at the staff in any office,supermarket,stores... what you see is only very very few male employees. It look like males even with the same qualification have no chances to get employed. Are this equal chances?
stop harassing people. You can't pester people and expect them to behave well in return.
It's good that they are doing something about the truants and shit parents. I would go further - parents should be held accountable for all their children's actions until they are 16 years old. It might straighten a few of them out.
Hogwash!...parents cannot supervise every moment of their children's lives. What is needed is a line of communication between the schools and the parents; a truancy unit in the police force can also be very helpful. By the way, where are all the sociology graduates?...put them to work in the schools!
If Chastanet had been elected, the situation would be much better in Soufriere.
Attractions, facilities and jobs. Labour leaves Soufriere to rot while it has the potential to be more visited than any of the region's most attractive towns.
Let us all hope for a brighter future for Soufriere; maybe the Troubetzkoy's will invest IN the town rather than their millionaire's playground at Jade Mountain?
ALL hoteliers in Soufriere should be made responsible for investing in making Soufriere look more attractive because it's in their interest to do so. This condition should be written into every contract signed with hotel developers allowed into St Lucia - It is our government's responsibility to arrange ALL our hotel deals this way, and throughout the island as well.
@9.15 a poor community can be kept clean by there residents and look attractive but to keep it clean is the residents duty. To upgrade we think the same.
