Reasons 1, 2, 3 & 4 are that we get a chance to escape Kenny's hell hole. Amen.

Nice to see that there is cross party support for Caribbean integration. I am assuming Allen supports the free movement of OECS nationals as well.

This has lingered on too long and should have already progressed to a political union.

Sooner or later, some islands will operate only as tourist attractions with a resident population as expats and locals remaining to serve those and the tourists.

Saint Lucia is now SS Titanic. Sauve qui peux.

This article is very lightweight. You should look to the EU and the misery that has caused. Political authority climbs higher and further away from the people. Yes there are some benefits with travelling easier, but in being more open you become more vulnerable. You can't control who comes, which creates a charter for bandits. You also have to cope with the drain on resources ensuring compliance with the rules imposed from above.

They can also compete for your already scarce jobs, land, water. Mark my words, in 5-10 years people will be squealing about closer union.

OECS is business-ready for the legitimate and illegitimate business. I pray to God to grant the flexibility to quit whenever I want. Being born here no longer means that there is any need to be buried here. Enjoy better days hangers-on, party hacks and yard fowls, for generations upon generations to come -- if you survive.

In my opinion freedom of movement is not a good idea,it create lots of problems with the people who coming in. Just look at EUROPE,crime increase, jobs for locals are less or they willing to work for less because the new immigrants will work for less, rents will go up,plus...
Only the PM will "benefit", his name will go in history books :-(

I would replace both UWP and SLP with a government that would return us to the position where the Bahamas are in relation to CARI-GO.
