Jailbird Paradise

nearing 200,000 folks on only 238 square mile
housing criminals amidst extremely familiar, tightly congested demographics, albeit in close proximity to their stomping grounds aka turf; surely we have the terrestrial framework for a continuum of existing criminal activity.

Bordelais as physical plant for the incarceration of criminals -is not the whole problem. Let's examine a medium profile criminal (e.g, one who coordinates the street level logistics of less than 20 retail vendors (smallest micro bags and loosies of reefer).
Say that "lootenant" stumbles into Bordelais: He /she can still access their criminal network _very directly.

As a matter of fact he /she can train/groom and launch novice members to his /her org as they complete their sentences- from within the correctional facility.
Those on the outside can parade 9n as regular visitors to this lootenant providing updates and taking back his/her executive commands.

Any dent to the above access points outlined above can only be served by a more REMOTE facility- OFF ISLAND. Please download the movie "PAPILLON" starrring Dustin Hoffman & Steve McQueen to isolate the REMOTE model I propose. I DO NOT SUPPORT the brutal and punitive measures that underscore the film.

Many local criminals have never ventured off island. The remoteness of South America would deny them cell phone access and regular visitations from their criminal network members.

Actually, remote incarceration would afford opportunities for serious holistic rehabilitation.

Economically, using the cheap if not free leasing of vast unused tracts of South American land, would free up the valuable square footage of real estate that Bordelais currently seats on. The facility can be renovated as a VOCATIONAL SKILLS traiing school or light manufacturing plant.

Are we not members of OAS? Effective diplomacy can negotiate a long term land lease in S>America!

Sad commentary on this country. Not a place to be.

When the people of a southern constituency consciously chose to vote as a majority for a known jailbird to represent them, I knew that we had crossed the Rubicon.

Saint Lucians had now accepted a jailbird as their leader. They sent that one to shake hands with other world leaders as their representative.

We cannot take that back. But the ingrained acceptance of POS as representatives is now nationally and culturally acceptable.

As they say, we sow the wind and reap the whirlwind. But the same idiots that accepted this crap are at it again. They are pushing more of the same as reps in other constituencies. Some have even been catapulted already to leader. We will continue to bleed for our determination to remain ignorant and stupid, and to behave like jackasses. We will not heed the signs? Well, we will continue to pay the consequences.
