All S-H-O-w and little substance. The politics of pappySHOW is here to stay perhaps. Next, Dr. Pep best calypso singer on the island, will sing calypso and Dr. Anthony, the best big belly dancer on the island will grace the stages with their minstrel SHOW. Meanwhile, the SLP again will come up short with a convincing plan of action to put the crime-inclined young population back to productive work.

I agree.. SLP is basically reapeating the same failed electoral campaign of 2006. Remember Kenny had rallies for almost a whole year and a half and still lost. This one is no diffeernt.

Anonymous said...

No, it is the uwp that after four years, has "come up short with a convincing plan of action...." as they are the ones in government - FOR NOW - not Kenny.

If you called the politics of slp "pappySHOW", how would you describe the politics of the uwp, whom, amongst others, have the likes of don, ex-con, liar, tax evaders, etc. etc...!!

Sacre sans honte!!

SLP has a big hit. It is called 'Let's do it again!' a la Staple Singers!

Anonymous said...

There's nothing like preaching to choir. You're almost always assured of your collection in the collection plate come 'Sunday'.

Anonymous said...

Nice one! LOL

They can talk to their people who voted for them last time and lost if they want. It's the same crowed from 2006. It does not mean that those who voted against them are listerning. LOL

If as Dr. Anthony has proved, he is ignorant of what pumping the prime entails and even less so what the multiplier is in economics, all the hoopla is just hollow. What matters and what it takes he and the SLP still today don't have it. The circus of the ignorants continues!

Go SLP GO, GO! This was an historic launching of the three candidates for the SLP. That's the way it should be done...Give us your goals for St. Lucia...and that's exactly what they did. Now they need a chance to prove they have what it takes to get the work done.

The criticisms of the uwp simply cannot hold up. They do not have the fortitude, moral fibre, competence and political will to get the job done. Jeanine's move gives clear indication that the uwp is pappy-show and nothing will be able to put King together again.

Let's go with Dr. Raymond. He has the ultimate plan for Castries North and by extension St. Lucia. Let's go with Stan to show that all the people in Castries Central deserve to get contracts and a meal too. Let's go with Timothy to show the UWP how clean-up and upgrade after Tomas in Castries South should be done. Hooray for the party, SLP.

I am not going back to the UWP...I will remain with SLP for better governance, and please tell Rick Wayne that the Rochamel issue is a dead issue that is scoring no points for the uwp, and the citizenry is simply pissed with the Rochamel propaganda.

When Kenny was finished with the Kennyomics he was asked why his government had not placed any money into the sinking fund to covering all the borrowing they had done.

There was no answer and when the UWP came into power they found that the tens of millions that should have been placed into the fund to covering all the borrowing that St. Lucia's SLP Minister of Finance had done - was not there.
St. Lucia was so broke that the UWP had to spend the first 18 months finding money to cover Kenny's borrowing.

And you want to say we have to go through that mamaguyism again ?

Used to be St Lucian said...

THIS IS REAL PAPPY SHOW, BAITEEZ, COMEDY. THIS IS ENTERTAINMENT. GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY LIKE; THE PEOPLE LIKE ENTERTAINMENT.
THE SLP AND UWP JOKERS ARE USING RED AND YELLOW COLOURS LIKE GANGS OF THUGS AND THEIR SUPPORTERS ARE FOLLOWING AND DANCING TO THE MUSIC OF PIED PIPERS OF POLTRICKS. WHY DONT THE SLP,UWP and LPM JOKERS USE THE NATIONAL COLOURS DURING THE CAMPAIGN TO PATRIOTICALLY UNITE THE PEOPLE RATHER THAN DIVIDING THEM ACCROSS PARTY LINES WITH COLOURS. THE PEOPLE ARE ALREADY BEING DIVIDED BY RELIGION, POLITICS AND CLASS.

Its ashame that most st lucians can't see their way forward because of small mindedness.
What is it going to take people to understand the way forward for st lucia, Look at the present goverment and their stewardship for the last four years.
What will it take party pouppers to understand that their party is jeorpardizing the future of this country because of their incompetence, their lack of vision, and the corruptness that goes on.
Does these people go around the island and understand the plight of those who are suffering.
Do they understand the vast among of your people that are there without no jobs and the vast among who are livng school with no future.
What is the resposibilty of this goverment who are suppose to be for the people and by the people not for a select few.

Please it is apparent that this present goverment cannot lead and therefore cannot earn another five years in office, and if we should do aren't we putting to peril the future of our country.
The slp is capable and has proven that they are capable of doing so and looking at their team Ihave the confidence that st lucia will move to a better position domestic as well as internationally.

IT is time that we stop sending little boys to do grown up messages.
and looking at the leadership of the different partys slp is more qualified and the men and women who form the team has more experience.
Mr prudent, Mr king,Mr osbert, is a big gamble on the future of our belove island and we saw what king has done so we can't take a gamble no more.
So please all st lucians lets unite for a good cause.

Anonymous said...

Blogger above, Mr. Osbert? Who is that? You don't mean the man the Commission of Inquiry said is not fit to serve in a Public Service capacity? You don't mean the man the general public insisted Stephenson King kick out of Government? You mean him? If that is so, it tells the world what Lucia is all about? SHAME ON HIM. SHAME ON WHOEVER IS WITH HIM IN ANY PARTY. THAT MAN IS DISCREDITED DUNG.

Anonymous said...

Is Kenny Anthony learning? I smell he'll lose worst than 2006. But this time, his own supporters will lynch him. He will not be able to walk the streets of St. Lucia.

SLP's STEP was a ruse and a colossal waste of money! How much employment was generated with this again? How many small businesses were created by this again? And how many of those 'graduates' developed a business which is still around today again?

Legal economics is just as good as voodoo economics, especially in the hands and minds of economic cretins!

Positive and verifiable answers to the questions posed above are the true measures of the efficacy of that SLP programme. UWP's bankruptcy of ideas showed in their renaming the failed SLP programme. Today, we are in for third round of the same failed policies again? Great SLP financial genius!

SLP is pregnant with other Rochamell and NCA commesse just waiting to be dumped on the poor economy again?

When Kennyonomics began they castigated John Compton for "not preparing St. Lucia for the demise of the banana industry".

They (the SLP geniuses) then said they were going to diversify the agricultural sector. For 5 years that is all you heard. Bananas dead, we diversifying ! Ra RA Ra !!! We bright, we producing more of everything else! We smart, we spending moneee!! Compton bad, we good, we diversifying ! EU this, borrow that!!

Then what happened ?

After they BORROWED AND WASTED over $200 million in agriculture and fooled gullible St. Lucians to think it came from Kenny's pocket (the SLP massa) we got the report that the crops they were diversifying into had FALLEN by 30% since the Labour Party took over.
Imagine - all the hot air and "other crops" as we see in the annual reports had FALLEN after all the hot air and garbage.

You all always complaining about Rick Wayne but the truth is that even Rick does not understand or know enough about the sheer ineptitude, waste and incompetence of Kenny, Phillip, Menissa, Petrus, Calixte, and that bunch of clowns.

Anonymous said...

SLP all the way...to the ballot box. Move out the way uwp I want to vote for SLP. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH WITH YOU BROOD OF JOKERS and CORRUPT MEN WHO SIMPLY POCKET MILLIONS FOR THE TAIWANESE. IF THE TAWAINESE HAS NOT SEEN THROUGH THIS GROUP OF INCOMPETENT POWER HUNGRY MEN THEY WILL DO SO SOON.

Anonymous said...

SLP PLEASE, PLEASE WE NEED YOU TO SAVE US FROM THE UWP'S. I AM SORRY, WE ARE SORRY FOR GIVING THESE GUYS A CHANCE NOW THEY ARE ABUSING US. SORRY, I AM READY AND WILLING TO GIVE SLP A CHANCE TO SAVE OUR SINKING SHIP.

Anonymous said...

I criticized Kenny when he made his mistakes during his reign as the SLP Leader. But, this man by all accounts and his own expressions admits that he was not perfect, and I appreciate that from him. I now see a man who is ready, one who is more humble and committed to the cause of raising our sinking ship from the UWP party. I am voting for Labour this time... NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT.

My criticisms of the UWP party that I supported far outweighs those that I had of the SLP. In objective stance, SLP is more able and positioned to take St.Lucia to true social and economic progress. LET YOUR VOTE BE COUNTED.

Anonymous said...

Yes, above Blogger you have it right.SLP is more able and positioned to save our sinking ship from the uwp's.

Anonymous said...

The only persons supporting this brood of vipers (uwp) are more than likely benefiting directly from the millions handed down by the Taiwanese. The joke is on RUFUS who failed in his conning abilities to convince St.Lucians that monies will not be safe in the Consolidated Fund...Bunch of Jokers!

Anonymous said...

There is nothing that the UWP can do or say to get my support again. Daddy Compton is gone and the lone sincere person (Jeanine) left the party as well. I'm gone too. BYE UWP, Hello Labour. LPM, you guys are not ready yet, hopefully you can get my support when you can fix things. As it stands now, it'll have to be SLP.

Anonymous said...

I supported you UWP but somehow I cannot get a portion of the monies that everyone seems to be getting. This is simply unfair! I will support those who show that they are concern about me and my children.

Anonymous said...

I am voting LABOUR, never will the UWP get my support again!!!!!

Anonymous said...

King, I am in your constituency and I am appalled at your leadership abilities so I will support the SLP this time.

Anonymous said...

Agree, above blogger the UWP will not get my support again. The Comptons are gone and there is noone in the party that reflects good principles and governance now. Sorry UWP, Hello Labour!!!

Anonymous said...

I supported the uwp but the persons enjoying the Taiwanese are Rick Wayne, Frederick boys, guy Joseph, King and his men. SHAMEFUL you have not taken care of us...those are not the only persons who provided support to you. I have never seen a penny or get any benefits from the contracts. SHAME ON YOU UWP, I thought you would be different. Hello Labour! Take a hike UWP.

Anonymous said...

Never will UWP get my vote again. You have said that more than 25 times here....

Does it mean that much to you to say it say many times. We hear you. You are going to put your cross the same place you did the last time. and that is by the STAR. Liar!!!

Anonymous said...

What we have here are the same propogandists saying the same thing only with different words.Let's face it, UWP does not deserve a second term but those who believe the SLP will bring about any fundamental change in the status quo need to think again. To begin with we have the same leader who far from being humble insists he did nothing wrong with Rochamel and that he will do it again, NCA, The Soufriere-Vieux-Fort highway etc. etc. What we have are a bunch of vultures looking to replace another bunch of vultures. It's a pity we don't have a viable third party to herald a real change in the status quo.

Anonymous said...

Micah, what do you mean when you say it (the crowd) was a little bigger than expected? How many people did you expect Micah? And how many turned up Micah? Micah man, when are you going to write as an independent journalist?

CHICKEN N RUM POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS BEGIN.

Anonymous said...

There was a great deal of surprise at the turnout even though it was not as much as the doctored photographs being shown by the SLP on the net.

I have dealt with marketing over the years and the pictures that the SLP are brandishing on the net were shot with wide angled lenses that blow up the peripheral areas. Additionally the place where the rally took place (by the marketplace) is very narrow and crowds always look deep. Even then the back end of the photos were also doctored by the SLP's PR people.
Interestingly , in 2001 and 2006 the SLP big spending ( of St. Lucia's money) elite wuld not have resorted to such obvious mamaguyism. This time around they are SHORT OF MONEY and are playing games to get as much as they can to get a bang for the buck.

This is troublesome because if they squeezed so much money out of government from 1997 -2006 to fill their pockets and are now so broke , can you imagine what they will do when if they get into power !!

Poor Lucia !

Anonymous said...

I supported uwp too but they simply cannot go on with the level of incompetence and corruption anymore. Like the previous blogger, I say emphatically UWP simply have failed me and by extension St.Lucia. I would like to say it not just 25times but to infinity.

UWP has proven throughout their term that survival is only for a few and not for the majority. Like the above blogger, I supported the UWP of John Compton but I have not benefited from a dime of the dollars given.

I will put my X by the Star this election, that's my right. To be more specific, I will be giving Dr. Ubaldus Raymond my vote because he is simply a better leader than King, and because I am a resident of Castries North. Mr.King needs to be aware and remember the pain he caused our children this past christmas when they waited long hours for him but he never displayed any level of decency and concern for our children. Then again that's the man...cares only about himself .

Anonymous said...

Yes my fellow st lucians we have to take the bull by the horn and do what is right for the future of st lucia and the future of our young people and we have some good for nothing missleaders and its time for them to go.
Again we cannot send children to do big men job

The more things change the more they remain the same.

Gadhafi in Libya has been murdering his own countrymen in order to stay in power. He has been in power for around 40 years.

Was it not Gadhafi money that was involved in an infameous case surrounding SLP big honchos in which it was alledged that money being transported from one point to another went missing.

Did this money if so lost end up financing the education of a well known St. Lucian political figure?

When we see them on the platform and hear them sprout words about their plans for the future and we remember their failures in governance in the past and the tricks they were involved with , we can only cry or laugh!

Anonymous said...

Blogger above, excellent point. Yes indeed that same Ghadaffi from Libya which funded millions into the LABOUR PARTY. And yes indeed the so-called suit-case of money disappeared when a former Prime Minister went to pee, and left the suitcase unattended at the Trinidad & Tobago airport? Film at 11!

Anonymous said...

You could remember film at 11, which THEY SAID happened more than 30 years ago, but you PRETEND to forget firm TODAY. Ghadaffi money was so bad when it was given to the Labour party, but it just came out on the news that TUCKER our ex con foreign minister had to receive millions from Libya to do some project in his political district, to help him and the UWP win the election. So what is the difference? It was bad money then, now the shoe is on the opposite foot the money is sweet.

Now about that so called Brief Case nonsense. Any person with a little sense will know that a foreign government will NEVER take somebody into a room and manually count millions of dollars, place it in a Brief Case and give it to them to travel overseas, this is not how things are done. This is the most backward thing i have ever heard. In the first place NOBODY is allowed to travel on any Plane with so much cash money. Money WILL be given in the form of a check, it could be wired from bank to bank, it could be transfered etc, etc. That Brief Case issue is a dead political ploy, tried by Josie on the market steps, i heard him personally, it never worked, or did not work then, so it will not work now. Try something else, good try anyway. You cannot fool us in St Lucia because Dr Anthony has provided all of us with a SCHOOLS place, so we think for ourselves.

You even try to spice it up, by saying Dr Anthony use money to finance his education. Dr Anthony got scholarships towards his education because of his intelligence. As a matter of fact when Josie said that Kenny had already finished his schooling.

Anonymous said...

@above, Film at 11's memory is most selective!!

Perceived malice/rumours, they said, innuendoes, that happened three decades ago he could clearly remember; but what is happening RIGHT NOW, PRESENTLY under his/her nose, he is blind to it.

He may have a good dose of cataract and glaucoma. Obviously, he/she needs to see an eye doctor!!

Anonymous said...

King, I am in your constituency and I am appalled at your leadership abilities so I will support the SLP this time.

okAY UBALDUS..GIVE US A BREAK HERE...YOU HAD A GOOD LAUNCHING AND PEOPLE SHOWED UP AS USUAL....DOES THAT MEAN YOU ARE GOING TO BEAT KING? HECK NO!!! KEEP DREAMING..

Anonymous said...

I am from the Castries North constituency as well. And yes, Dr. Raymond will beat KING since he cannot help himself neither can his men put him back up again. I too and 5 other members of my family voted UWP last election but do plan to support DE MAN OF THE TIMES IN CASTRIES NORTH, NOT THE BUSH DOCTOR THAT KING SPOKE OF BUT THE DIGNIFIED LEADER DR.RAYMOND.

LIKE THE OTHER BLOGGER...THAT'S MY RIGHT.

Anonymous said...

what I find rididculous is those "kenny obbssessed Junkies" who eat kenny, sleep kenny and yes publically maturbate about kenny with their nasty blogs. Like Dr Phil has said "get over it" why are you'll so obbssesed with the man. Why not talk about king and why he should be given a second term. In mine opinion you all are 'sick' thank God Kenny put a 'wellness center that can accommodate all of you. The reality is St. Lucia is in trouble and if you think King can save St. Lucia so be it but leave the former PM out.. you idiots...
