Seriously, St Lucia is a joke.

Inept politicians, state run monopolies, it's pathetic.

It's a good job the Taiwanese are here to bail us out, but for how long?

Tourism is in the crapper, Minister know more about seducing women than attracting visitors, and Beausejour in da dark.

The last person to leave St Lucia please turn off the switch.

Sad case...how ever it show that Lucelec may not in the national interest...500,000.00 / 36 = 13,888.88. Sounds like the rates are too high still. I can only imagine other monies owe by other...MPP, George Odlum Stadium Vige Sports complex, the indoor courts. Government buildings, treasury town and Village councils, BTC senior home and list continues.... Lucelec work with us.

Honestly, it was a mistake to have spent so much on a cricket facility that St.Lucians do not appreciate.
The first cricket game, after the completion of the facility, was a big hit; and since then, the numbers have gone down, down, down.
So to come here and blame Spider for our own lack of support is at the height of hypocricy.

Do we as a people go there and pay the admission fee that is suppose to help pay for electricity, etc? And the answer is no.

So again, it's not Spider; it is all of us.

But again, it's the same old St Lucian story: LACK of a SOLID EDUCATION and REAL LEADERSSHIP skills, and of course, too much political nepotism/corruption!

Mainly, St Lucians are trying to live and show off well beyond our means and in particular, we are living well beyond ST LUCIA'S MEANS. We keep on watching too much American trash-television and imitating them; and guess what? The American middle class has also been living well beyond their means for decades - they were fooled by their own system too - and they too are in a BIG MESS: their politics, their lifestyles, their rapidly increasing poverty and millions of them falling into bankruptcies, and not to mention their totally corrupt politics and government!!
Can St Lucia afford to keep on imitating this very BAD example?
OF COURSE NOT!

You meaning this is another case of SPIDER AGAIN!!! messing up! LOL

I can't imagine what fool would chose a slogan like this.

Last two above - TRUE!!!!!!!!!

A board is hired to run the facility I can not blame the former Minister for the light issue. If there is some one in charge of the place and it's finances then they are the ones responsible for paying the bills. Like you can not blame the owners of the cruise ship that crashed for the captians misguided judgement I can not blame the former minster for the management time of the grounds not doing their job. Its that simple

the evidence. said...

is that simple because u are not the one footing the bill
because u are not a tax payer just that simple, lol.

The ills and mismanagement of the last administrations is coming out day after day after day like a hot filthy, contaminated piss.
The BCG is well known by sports analysis as one of the best and most recent sports complexes in the region. What the hell was Montoute thinking; this is a facility in the constituency of his domain. He could not even take care of a national play field in his own back yard; and he vied for another chance to represent the same. Shame on him!!
If this information was known before the elections, Emma would have further extirpated this guy beyond any recount.
Like the writer indicated, there are more ills to surface from the "Lying King Regime".

While St Lucians bicker with Lucelec about 'lights out at BCG', the new Minister of Tourism treatens to cut subsidies to American Airlines.

What is going on here?

How is St Lucia generating wealth to pay for these lights? What is the country creating, producing, exporting?

Chairman's Rum will only pay for so much. The island needs tourist visitors to bring some $$$ to the island.

Is St Lucia worth the effort to AA? I hope so because if their flights stop, lights will be out for good and water stop running.

Crooks in the UWP replaced by Labour goons. Especially Theophilus.

@ above shut u big dam stupid mouth u fool
go and fix your untenable reasoning.

Anonymous said...

What is untenable about my reasoning?

That St Lucia produces nothing of material value?

That the only thing keeping the island humming along is tourism?

That losing American Airlines would sent the hotel and tourism sector into a horrible tailspin?

That the new Minister of Tourism is clueless about tourism?

The above points aren't reasonining my friend, they are facts. Which are false? Go ahead & disprove them... without vulgar accusations please!

Why try to pass blame on the past Sports Minister (via this news papaer, and the new Sports Minister?) An entity was put in place to MANAGE Beausejour Sports Complex, and THEY (Sports St Lucia, Inc) FAILED!!

The question to ask is: To WHO was SSI accountable to? WHY was the SSI lax in their management? WHO is the manager of the SSI - this is the person who the spotlight should be shining on. NOT the Minisyrt, whoever is in this seat.

IF the current Minister for Sports has to point fingers - it should be on the BSC's management - the SSI - they are the ones RESPONSIBLE, and should be held accountable!!

This is, and should not be, a political issue - but a managerial issue. Joe Public should hold the current minister's hand, and guide his index finger to the real culprits: Sports St Lucia, Inc!!

Again, WHO is the SSI accountable to? Is it the government? A private concern? WHO? The journalist does not say.
