Please farmers learn to grow something other than bananas. The market for your product is diminishing daily. The local market for tomatos, sweet peppers, zucchini (courgette), cucumber, avocado, pineapple, salads, greens, spinach, eggplant (aubergine) etc, etc. is growing while the supermarkets and hotels have to import to get regular quality supply.

Saint Lucia should not need to import any food, why do we???

Kenny must stop wasting the farmers time about bananas. There are so many other crops we can invest our time in.

Julius Polius' performance as a senior Public Official has been characterized as ineffective, inefficient and downright incompetent.

So why the heck does St. Lucia continue to recycle dead weights, block-heads and expect anything valuable or any worthwhile achievements.

What Programs on this disease did he implement and was sustainable during his time as Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Agriculture. Now he is retired, he wants to push his head in things in which he can not give any valuable and beneficial input.

These fellars go around begging for jobs to earn money but really have nothing to offer.

What about he becoming a full time farmer and hiring a few young men? There goes his so-called qualifications in Agriculture.

Our St.Lucians must understand that they need to stop the brotherhood and sisterhood BS especially if such approaches are stifling progress in our country.

There are enough competent and qualified young people seeking jobs...give them a break at implementing their innovative talents in all sectors.

Let's not forget also that the time is ripe for diversification in our agricultural sector. It is imperative, however, that abled persons are hired to do the jobs and stop nonsensical approaches of recycling old incompetent heads who are without fresh ideas.

Thats it Moses take the lead, show them why you and your team was given the mandate to carry out the changes. Its three years now that this SIG feller has been waging war on the farmers. Help is on the way, thanks Moses.

Julius, we have some boxes of Giant African Snails ready for you. These are free of charge to you! Remember you told farmers they are delicacies. Well yours are ready. Can you also assist our farmers market those giants because they are plentiful and growing all over Saint Lucia?

Why the hell are St. Lucians so blind that they cannot see that there is absolutely no future in growing bananas for export.

Goodness gracious. Form a company that manufactures foods from bananas under a cooperative framework. Can the cook bananas. Make banana flour. Bake banana cake and ship that to the UK, the US and Canada. Make banana paper. Make banana wraps for food like corn-bread. Make banana bread. It has to be banana something rather than just bananas. Let there be competition between the schools for things, foods and food products made with the ripened fruit or the green fruit. Think.
