Great article! The simple truth is that King should do the honourable thing and step down as Leader. I am of the firm belief that Gail although a little green in the political arena is better position to take the party to a better level as leader. Other persons such as Chastanet, Sarah Beaubren, guy Mayers, Montoute must stay.

Other outside persons that should be considered are Dr. Plummer, Dr. Claudius Preville and others. Other persons that should definitely be considered are the sidelined professionals and qualified professionals such as Dr. Long, Dr. Raymond and Albert Fregis.

If such a team can be put in place for our party it would be a force to be reckoned with. No SLP government can battle successfully against the UWP with such a team...LET THE CRITICS PROVE ME WRONG.

Beware you SLP folks...you won the elections on a Team Labour ticket we are also able to do so. Only this time it will be TEAM UWP but with one exception we will not sideline our TEAM WHEN WE GET BACK INTO POWER.

We the UWP are noted for not sidelining qualified and competent people like the Labour party. Some of us recognize the quality of some persons on the Labour Government that have been currently sidelined. Like the first Blogger, it's my hope that those persons(Dr. Long, Dr. Raymond and Fregis)be considered in the UWP. It is my hope also that these highly qualified individuals open their eyes to see the reality they are forced into and join the UWP as we work towards creating a formidable party.

This is high class hypocrisy at work here...first it was TEAM LABOUR now the SLP Government under the leadership of Kenny Anthony has sidelined qualified persons who fought hard on the political battlefield.

Fletchie, laCorb, Kim and other OECS elitist are simply reaping the harvest for the hard work of lelia Haracksingh, Fregis, Mangal, Dr. Raymond and Dr. Long. As the song goes, where has all...TEAM LABOUR gone to?

The SLP government is already showing signs of group conflict especially when strong Labour party supporters are crying foul with this Administration's policies. If the UWP can marshall heavy forces with quality candidates and removing its current leader and Frederick they can regain power at the next election.

I think The lying King should fight for his right and remain as leader of the UWP. The ship that King commands already hit rock bottom and cannot stay afloat. The ship is sinking and the captain should not vacate or bailout. Do the honorable thing; stay on and battle those evacuees who wish to trick you into giving up your true character as a loser. Be assured, if you believe in yourself and stand by your coverts in opposition, you will assure the Labour Party a victory for the next fifty years

@ 2:18 p.m.: And just how are we to determine how many lives and careers and hopes that may have been lost as a result of the cheap politics that exists in Saint Lucia? The hard truth is that the author shows the similarities that exist between a captain and his crew and a leader and his camp and the results that follow when their actions veer off the norm. People have eyes. Sadly, though, they just see what they want to see.

There is simply no justifiable excuse for the sidelining of qualified candidates like Dr. Long, Dr. Raymond and others in favour of elites who have never endured hardship on the campaign trails. How can our administration look on and feel satisfied to have a qualified medical doctor as Deputy Speaker and qualified Economist away from Cabinet decisions and national policy formation.

For the life of me I simply do not understand and will never understand this move by my government.

We should not give the crumbled UWP any opportunity to amass strength by our seemingly unscrupulous and ill-advised strategies. The assignment of Dr. Long and Dr.Raymond including the non-assignment of Fregis and Mangal must be addressed speedily.

And yes, our SLP supporters are crying foul all over St.Lucia...let's correct the mistakes. The SLP cannot afford to lose its support among the electorate.
