Say recitation instead of speech and you will be more correct. What the does it matter if the permanent secretary of prime minister's office were to read it instead? Would that make Saint Lucians, at the end of the day, a great deal better off? Who pays any attention to this boring recitation of empty ceremonial promises made in setting of utter profligate spending?

Nothing but a whole lot of shit; a mess.

We really could not care to even listen to the waste of time.

Time will tell.

This country has become very sick; and increasingly so with every passing day, under Kenny Anthony.

St. Lucia seem on a similar path like Jamaica. Is that where Kenny gets advice from?

Bad news for this country.

Blogger no. 1 you're so correct. There really is no point to the "highly antipated" my government this, my government that Throne Speech. It would've been more useful if it expressed the Governor General's sentiments on the current state of affairs, but is merely a preview of the Prime Minister's budget address. If only the GG's role wasn't largely ceremonial!

There is no reason why the preview can't be handled by the press secretary. I suppose we can't get enough of the colonial pomp and fanfare. Oh yeah, and the parade of hats too.
