St. Lucia Needs To Change Course

The reason why you think that Saint Lucia is heading in the wrong direction is primarily you (the contributor of the article) was born with a shortfall disability. And one without a name. Only a "chicken" carries a name as "concerned citizen".
Lets just fast forward a bit......You deliberately ignored the cost attributed to the Dyer Building, the property in Vieux-Fort held for collateral for a proposed hotel that went belly-up, etc., etc., etc. This clearly shows your bias-ness is towards the UWP.
Therefore by simple deduction, you are not a concerned citizen, but a blasted disabled Flambeau. Now you have a name that your parents were ashamed to give you.

Such issues cloud a more important issue which Is most St.Lucians are totally disgruntled with the government of Kenny Anthony. It's time for Kenny for once in his life to act politically honourably and step down as PM and hand the baton to the peoples choice Philip J Pierre. Pierre is the only man who can unite the country. So called Labour supporters it's time to ask Kenny nicely to go,and if he won't then we must eject him. Thank you Kenny for your endeavours ,we are grateful and appreciate it,but it's time for you to go.My dear friend Kenny you have now become a liability

Whenever Kenny remains as Finance Minister he represents a liability to his party. He glows in the darkness that surrounds him, which is, the low-information-processing UWP horde, from top to bottom.

On his own, he does not show any inclination to put systems in place to control the stunning financial waste of his egregious financial black-holes associated with his signed international agreement missteps.

Unfortunately, these have come to lastingly characterise his premiership with his business investment forays and excursions, displaying a singular lack of business acumen, and negotiating skills.

I too am befuddled by this article but for a completely different reason than LLL. It is that Saint Lucia is suffering from an acute deficit of honorable men and women with problem solving talent.

We have a lot of politics and no policies that can really take us to the next level.

We have a lot of laws and lawyers and little legality in our dealings and a dysfunctional legal system.

We have one simple problem in our country it is that WE ARE LIVING ABOVE OUR MEANS and both parties are overtaken by the need to continue the croynism, corruption, nepotism, profligate spending etc. to promote the self interests of the selected few at the expense of the masses.

So just as we got out from a very corrupt government in comes another which has not missed a step in going back to the very same ways that has brought our country to it's knees.

Party supporters too blind because they have their heads far up the posterior of the ruling elite do not give a damn about government excesses which adversely affect their lives as long as my party in power I good.

The reality is we are in deep trouble but those who are feeding off Lucia's teat will deny it and STEP, NICE to the bank while they gouge out our eyes to finance these excesses.

Saint Lucians are just too comfortable and accommodating with borbol and corruption. It does seem to not matter anymore that this corrosive and national systematic theft is practiced.

Once it is done by someone in our party, we are happy with it. In this regard therefore, Saint Lucia is being run as a Third World "Banana Republic".

Listen to the spokespersons of the parties. This issues will not cross their lips. And that's OK for the majority 90% of the minions in BOTH MIS-leading political parties.

But they continue to expect investors to sink money into an economy that is so rife and comfortable with malfeasance? Most of our politicians it would seem are not aware of the term "investor confidence" in a locale and its implications.

We continue to dream. Look at the list of massive investment failures. Frenwell, Black Bay, and Grynberg are staggering!

Then there is a huge white elephant in the mid east coast area, perhaps with even an untold irreversible ecological disaster in the making.
