Carnival should be banned for 3 years - period. They want more money to promote saloptay and exacerbate crime? Bull crap.

At a time like this; so called educated people in St. Lucia are still not getting the message.

Stop WASTING PUBLIC FUNDS for things especially SALOPTAY like CARNAVAL;.

Nothing good comes from that activity. Just many more babies; with no fathers claiming them; thus leaving many women with children they can hardly feed and clothe and provide shelter.

Instead of these women trying to spend their already meager funds to develop themselves; they then have to spend it on babies; and moving from man to man.

And the bottom line is that St. Lucia is rearing many more criminals; arising from desperate and dejected children; brought into this world through no fault of theirs; yet very much neglected by society.

Where is the voice of the so-called CHURCHES?

St. Lucia is morbid and defunct; and so is its leadership.

Go back to the old days when carnival was simply having fun.Carnival lost its meaning since it became commercialized. End the commercialization of the festival. use the funds to do something positive for the youth of Saint Lucia.
